hollowsleather 1,068,017 Posted September 1, 2010 Here's my personal stash. Two belts, two wallets, a bracelet, a bigger bag for my pipe and tobacco, and a smaller case for my Leatherman. I should snap shots of my Frost River bag some day, I've make some nice modifications to it.

raspberries 44,606 Posted September 4, 2010 crosspost from evolution of leather goods thread it's gotten a bit darker from then, but i decided to get a bigger wallet for cards and whatnot, so I'm using an obbigoods wallet now. my red moon's kids walletaround 5 months? 4? thread at the top is ripping
Solix 437,605 Posted September 4, 2010 New Obbigood custom wallet - an inch thinner in the width compared to a standard "short" wallet, a inch wider when compared to a Redmoon kid's wallet as seen just above. Best part? Paid their RM Kid's wallet replica price ($75) when compared to the same wallet that's an inch bigger ($120). Extremely happy with the purchase.
rodeo bill 177,135 Posted September 4, 2010 ^^ great stuff! Sansome's amazing gloves picture reminded me I'll be getting these back out soon as the weather gets cooler. Real McCoys horsehide:
lance 127,426 Posted September 4, 2010 Beautiful gloves, Bill. I wonder if they still offer them?
rodeo bill 177,135 Posted September 4, 2010 ^^ thanks man Wouldn't know I'm afraid. I bought them in (one of?) the Tokyo stores (Daikanyama?- are there more than 1?) about 2 years ago. Here's the bag they came in, with the serial name:
lance 127,426 Posted September 4, 2010 Thanks Bill, I found what appear to be the same glove under a different brand. I'll order and see.

lance 127,426 Posted September 4, 2010 http://onlinemilitaria.net/shopexd.asp?id=2194 Look the same, what do you think?
rodeo bill 177,135 Posted September 4, 2010 yup I agree- I'm sure they're repros of the same thing. I did a quick google and these look better (and cheaper) than some I found. What's really impressed me with the RM ones is how beautifully the leather's aged. They were a lot more expensive than these though (don;t remember what they were in Yen, but I think it was about £75), so you might have got a great deal! let us know how they turn out edit- ps mine stretched out quite a bit, to the point where I wish I'd bought the size smaller, that felt slightly tight in the shop. might be worth bearing in mind:)
lance 127,426 Posted September 4, 2010 Thanks, that's helpful. I emailed them with just that question; whether to order an L or XL. And yes, the patina is what attracted me to them in the first place. Thanks again. edit - By the way, what size did you order?

Tiro 276,201 Posted September 9, 2010 good stuff riff, must spread tho... anyhow, don't know if this is the right place to post this but so be it... does anyone have any experience with manifold leather? I've seen their stuff on the Ooe blog, then I looked at their site... http://manifold.shop-pro.jp I'm really liking their OWA-12 CO TAN but it's not clear where the bills go in this wallet, I might order one in the near future tho.
arcanum 13,540 Posted September 9, 2010 looks pretty good, but man they cost an arm and leg

Tiro 276,201 Posted September 9, 2010 looks pretty good, but man they cost an arm and leg I''m guessing that is due to the leather being used... cordovan, elephant, ostrich, crocodile, don't come cheap I reckon
mikecch 1,276,428 Posted September 9, 2010 Mmmm, the grain on their elephant is super nice - looks like they use the trunk skin!

riff 3,528,129 Posted September 9, 2010 good stuff riff, must spread tho...anyhow, don't know if this is the right place to post this but so be it... does anyone have any experience with manifold leather? I've seen their stuff on the Ooe blog, then I looked at their site... http://manifold.shop-pro.jp Thanks guys! I see Manifold products whenever I'm in Tokyo. Just gorgeous. My FH wallet reign is made by Manifold - about all I was willing to spend at that time - which I now regret... I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be disappointed!
MikeS 27,876 Posted September 9, 2010 That manifold that hollow posted is the nicest piece of leather I have ever seen. Cordovan and Croc makes me cream my shorts. Then I did the price conversion...
