Friday_and_River_Leather_Bandana_Ring_Li

Was asked to do a series of bandana keepers. It's a little tough to see in this photo but this one has an embossed wave illustration. Living in San Diego I don't really wear these, but they were fun to make and took me back to my scout days as a kid.

Just took delivery of my Obbi Good Label - Brave mid-size wallet!
James and I had specified (leathers & colours) it earlier this year when he was in Berlin...

A big departure for me, as I have gotten use to carrying things in my front pockets only - this wallet seems to be a good compromize in size, as well!

Great looking wallet. I feel that it looks much nicer than OGL's craftsmanship from a few years ago.

My Tim Leathers mid-wallet is almost done, should have it this time next week! Will give pics and the full rundown when it gets here. I miss having veg tan natural leather in my life.

Got my Tim Leathers wallet the other day!

It came neatly packaged in a nice box.

The wallet is not as bulky as most mid-wallets, the thickness is just right for me. One of the things that most stands out is how nice the burnishing is - maybe the best I've ever seen. Incredibly silky and smooth; I had an Angelos mid wallet a few years ago that I never wore much, but despite their reputation, I feel the burnishing and construction on this wallet is a little bit better.

The silver ring attachment is very attractive and distinct from others I've seen.

The wallet has just the right amount of space for me - four card slots, and extra card space inside the right "pocket" and also under the coin case. The leather is very nice - it's not as "raw" feeling as Redmoon's, but less oily/stuffed compared to Flat Head's harness leather, and has a pleasing golden hue right out of the box. I expect it will age very nice.

Overall I love this wallet, it looks great, is easy to use, and has a high degree of quality that I feel justifies the wait. Best of all, it's fun to get something from a brand that hasn't really been explored here before.

More Baker's oak bark leather!

Found a new craftsman who specialises in it - Tom at Hawkmoth Leather Co.

Full review on my blog here!

By the way, I haven't been able to contact Terry Dear for a few months now - he's usual super good at writing back.

Has anybody communicated with him recently, or know what's happening?

I had a Quercus made in early 2015 and I had the same experience back then, I emailed him and it was months before he was able to get back to me (my first email to him must have been some time in late 2014). Back then he was dealing with some health issues, let's hope for the best!

^ Yeah, my concerns exactly. Terry and I talk about random stuff like the weather over e-mail...so it's really odd that he has not replied to e-mails for so long.

Any English SuFu'ers pay the ShoeBox a visit? See what's up?

^ I obviously like it...but that's assumed I guess :P

Look at how responsive the natural saddle leather is though!!!

Not that many wallets use slow pit-tanned natural leather~~~

Edit: You guys need to start posting more leather stuff...this thread is starting to turn into my blog.
