Sardinia holiday

Hello all out there... I am looking for some suggestions based upon wonderful experiences of a summer holiday in Sardinia Italy. I am trying to find a lovely hotel on or near a quiet beach (relatively speaking for the month of August...) close to or near a small town. Do not need the glitz and glamour but something comfortable and relaxing.... Any suggestions anyone? Thanks B
