I just wondering what kind of cleaning products, brushes, clothes, polish, conditioner, shoe cream, mink oil etc should i use? or better yet, is there any basic care kit i can buy?

Hey Yin, these are the only care products I use and recommend.

Peet shoe dryer

Fiebing's soap

Obenauf's!!

I consider shoe trees more optional, but they can't hurt, especially if you're storing the boots for long periods.

@joelz, were those Leffot boots from Paraboot? I had a pair of Brooks Brothers x Paraboot shell captoe boots in burgundy that looked almost the same

Actually they are aldens, forgot to mention that

Thank you.:)

So.....i guess i shouldn't baby them like dress shoes, beat them up and don't care about them until it's necessarily?

If your feet sweat, use shoe trees. They are cheap, and you will definitely be glad to have used them a few years down the road.

Recently had these 30's - 40's cap toe work boots re-heeled with stacked leather heels to match the originals.

When I think about if I were rich and could have boots made to my spec and style, these are pretty much what come to mind.

Maybe with copper eyelets though...

For those of us situated in south of Sweden, http://www.swedalaoutlet.se/ in Svedala have their fair share of RedWings for 166-177 EUR. Not that cheap by US standards, but just having the chance of actually trying them on before buying (or ordering elsewhere) is worth the trip.

Sizes from 6 - 13, models (afaik):

Chelsea Rangers (6193, 6194 and some other distressed ones in brown)

Round Toes (brown, red, moc, black)

Chukkas (same here)

More "modern" biker boots

The Round Toes in red were the only ones I could suspect being factory seconds, based on glue residue and colour differences.

I was dragging along twins not at all interested in watching dad try on shoes so it was a quick "hit and run". Thus the lack of model figures.

Picked these up on eBay recently. Frye Rogan Engineer. They started off brown, but I wanted black ones. Cleaned the hell out of them, used some leather dye I picked up on the Internet, and finished them off with some black shoe polish. I think they turned out pretty good.

Some photo's of my White's Farmer Ranchers, as requested by TallyHo.

These were supposed to be Semi Dress, but White's wouldn't do steel toes in the Semi Dress, so I ordered custom Farmer Ranchers in 6", Elk tanned brown with steel toes. These have since been resoled with Cat's Paws and are laced with Alden's flat waxed laces. These are work boots that are exposed to the elements and beaten up.
