haven't posted photos in a while. so, here are many.

ran a half marathon this month. the training increased the ol' muscles and made wearing most of my denim impossible.

half marathon was in hutchinson, ks - home to one of two giant underground salt mines in the US. movie companies store their reels there along with "memorabila" - term used lightly.

what comes into the mine-stays in the mine.

I just found this pic of when I stopped by the Rising Sun Grand Reopening.

I wore my Left Fields to the event, and of course my rising sun jacket. With a few other guys that might look familar to you.

This is from Pistol Magazine website

Went to a few places to day... First off had a late lunch at the world famous Philippe's Resturant. Home of the French Dip Sandwich.

The place is packed... always.

then to the local home brew store to pick up my first ingredients for my first batch of beer,

and discovered Rising Sun was just around the corner so I had to stop in there too...

  • 2 weeks later...

last night my pants went to see Neil Young and Crazy Horse. Crazy Horse is my favourite incarnation of Neil. Neil Young is my favourite all time music man. I've seen him many times and this one ranked among the best.

pre show listening.

IMG_1711.jpg

the search lights were out, a sign of good things to come.

IMG_1714.jpg

inside. this is the guy whose charity softball game Jack and I attended this past summer. stopped by to pay respect. just for the record I'm really missing the nhl.

IMG_1715.jpg

the guy in the chair took a nasty fall right near us, my bro in law ran to get the police, who in turn got the paramedics. I used to go to a lot more shows than I do lately and when I see someone go down I'm always reminded of the grateful dead lyric "maybe he had too much too fast."

IMG_1717.jpg

we had side view seats, you could see back stage, luckily they turned out to be ok, because Neil was facing us most of the night while playing with the band. O' Canada to open the show was a nice touch. I have sung our national anthem in that building at playoff hockey games, and that rendition the crowd put on last night equalled the level of enthusiasm.

IMG_1718.jpg

that's him at the piano.

^agreed bigT, mrh is the man. not an excuse, but i think i would post more if i'd have gotten the indigos. my pair of blacks are not showing much character, even after 6 months of total wear time and one soak/one wash.. they're great tough chinos, but the blues have much more interesting fading properties. gonna get a friends' quality camera and do a final shoot in them.

sat at work, which is why my pants are boring:

Then went out at night to checkout the global rainbow project in the meat packing district, which was partially as a display of solidarity with the communities that were hit hardest by sandy (the beams were pointed to the areas hit hardest, and were visibile for 35 miles apparenlty)

Okay guys! It's crazy to say that we have less than a month left.

The top 5 posters in the thread breaks down like this at the moment.

Major shout outs to MisterH. Your pair is looking awesome, and you've kept this thread on the front page this whole time.

I'm going to call/email Christian this week to figure out how we could best bring things to a close. I just want to give a big shout out now to him. From the very beginning he has been accommodating, giving, and generous. He was the first person Robbie and I emailed, and I think I can speak for both of us when I say that I don't think we would have pursued anyone else if we couldn't have done this with Christian.

My pair hasn't fit for a couple months (I've gotten fat...), but I'm excited to show how far they've come.

I hope that everyone has had a good year. This year has been full of high highs and low lows for me, but at the end of it I'm happy to have had this contest as an anchor.

Happy Holidays and thanks to everyone for investing in this contest and making it what it is.

MisterH MVP. My pair has been seeing wear here and there, so I'm gearing up for one or two more updates before 2012 comes to a close.
