i would say either would fit but 43 would probably be best. depends how snug you like to wear your shoes - there will be toe room in both but 42 may be tight in width.

would it be really hard/expensive to have a couple pair of levis 501s tailored into a skinny fit jean? I really like the basic, simple washes on 501s but they fit like ass.

capa, i don't think it would be too hard or expensive, especially if you have a pair of pants that you want them tailored to fit like (that you can bring to your tailor/seamstress). can probably get it done at your local drycleaning place

tapering jeans is heaps easy - especially if you have another pair for reference but even without the tailor can just pin them when they are on your body.

if you care about your shit you will find a place better then most drycleaners.

they won't shrink. Washed two times without any shrinkage
