Ooop, sorry, it was all I saw on the J Crew website. Please do let me know the specs if you can (boot model, colour, etc.)

Mike, just ordered the black HH semidress.. I'll prolly have another entry by the start date though.

Yep, done!

Do you know the details of the horsehide? E.g. tannage, tannery, etc.

hmm.. if i can get a pair of boots that are gently used on ebay, would that still be cool?

I´ll be using the leffoot Alden 403 in Horween Brown Chromexcel

I believe that Alden's brown chromexcel is cowhide, not horsehide! But I'd be happy if I was wrong, because the choices would be greatly increased!!!

Yeah, the brown CXL on 403 is not horsehide.

Just a quick note: CXL is usually not horsehide, unless specifically stated that it is CXL horse butt or the like.

Chromexcel (cxl) is Horween's brand of vegetable re-tanned leathers...the same/similar process can be used on a variety of animal hides, but usually it's done on cattlehide.

Sorry mate, the footwear need to be new; no gently worn or NOS shoes.

coleslaw, did you have those resoled, or did you just take off the black edge with some extra fine sandpaper? i've never seen them with a natural edge (at least it looks natural on my screen).

I'm hoping to get a pair of Horsehide White's SD. Baker's posted a pair of Semi Dress in #8 Burgundy Shell Cordovan that looks very nice. Either something like that or brown horsehide. I'm still in the $$ gathering phase. Hope to be able to get them ordered early in 2012.

The jacket’s body uses the same fabric that RgT uses in their stealth jeans; a sanforized 15 oz. black selvedge denim from Nihon Menpu Mills in Japan. What sets this jacket apart from ordinary Stealth Supply jacket is the sleeves; satin-lined, black, full-grain cowhide.
Other than that, is has all the signature features of the traditional RgT jacket; two front hand pockets, breast pocket, internal pocket, all bound with seam tape for a beautiful garment inside and out. Quantities were extremely limited and were only found at NiftyDo in Vancouver for $370 USD.
Worn lightly, one cold water soak. It is slim fitting and is somewhat too small for me (6'1" 195lb).
      $275 shipped, or best.
      Peace.
