Time for my final pics, as i´m off today and won´t have time to take pics later this week.

I had great 2 years in these jeans, still love them. Just some of the stuff I did in these:

-bought in HK early 2009

-helped putting up this contest with the jeans in my closet

-travelling to many places (london/alto adige/slowenia/switzerland/etcetc)

-finished my med school an became a doc

-local championship with my handball team

-daytravels/hikes etc.

...so much more comes to my mind.

Think I´m gonna drop them at a tailor to get everything fixed and just keep on wearing...

Hard to come with other update pics after Atzec's super great ones, but here we go:

I started the Denime contest in February 22 2010 (5.5 month delay because of finishing a previous project with my old G-Star US First, so I couldn't bring them that far how I wished).

Worn daily, never washed or soaked, still raw. And I'll soon have to downgrade them as my second class jeans. Actually I have to downgrade them probably pretty soon since I have to avoid the eyes of my boss and. And I'm using the back door entrance only since a few weeks to prevent an upraising against my pretty rough raw denim stuff from some well dressed office people. My 50 year old Lee Storm Rider denim jacket looks pretty wild too.

And after wearing the same denim jacket for over 800 days and the same jeans now for over 520 days in a row I can tell you that some office people are praying heavily and daily for a new raw denim outfit around my body. As you know I live in the clean and proper Swiss area....

On the other hand: Why not let them pray some days more????

It's a pitty, that I can show 1.5 year of heavy use in them since I started with a delay. But I'll be more then happy to treat them the hard way in the future when downgrading them as my second and 3. class work pants. And I like it most, when it comes to the wild and rough part of a raw denim's life. Because in that stage, the evolution is much faster and with more actions. And you don't have to take care keeping them nice anymore.

Dr.House, LOT 159, Part I

dsci1669.jpg

Worn hard again and washed at 60°C degrees the 12th time...Check the nice leg twist only on the left leg!

dsci1673.jpg

dsci1679.jpg

This picture shows the colour and the contrasts to nearly 100%.

dsci1684.jpg

The last wash shrunk the patch a bit, but it looks awesome imo. I always cared the patch with Red Wing Boot Oil before each wash.

dsci1688.jpg

Stil going strong, nevertheless they're in need of a pocket repair.

Rrrrrrrrrrroping!

I like such small faded details...

(Colour and contrast aren't correct on the self portrait)

The contest is over but my pair is still in a pretty good condition. I'll try to keep 'em in that state and don't wear them hard anymore, but nevertheless frequently. They've seen good and bad times, blood, sweat and tears. They got wet from the north sea, saw the pregnancy of my wife and the birth of my beloved daughter. And now, after the love of my life is gone, they're still on my side. Thanks for being part of the Take5/ Denime contest!

So let me join you guys to show my pair still exists.

I wore them the first 5 months quite regular but as the fit got tighther and tighter and more uncomfortable I got detracted by other pairs I bought over the time. I still love this pair and this is why I ordered a XX-type (would suit my build better) with hoping to get the same wonderful denim.

Maybe I'll give this pair to MaxPower so it gets some love.

Enough talk, to the pics

shame on me,i know.these are worn for probably six or seven months, started somewhere in 2009,interrupted by the sudden arrive of my Fullcounts, which got lost on the way to the Clerk for hemming, til june 2010 when my leg of the Mr.Freedom tour started.after that an unrefuseable offer of the MF riders appeared, followed by the start of a certain Roy contest.same old story,so many pairs,so little time.anyway, here they are...

Denime 66xx

2 Years

Just about wore these jeans about a good 90% of the 2 years I'd say. And now just about everything is starting to come apart after beating them up so much- hems are torn half the way around, pockets are just gone in all regards, crotch hole (and repair, @ SE), etc.

These hold the first two years of university, sand from some traveling, grime from (a lot of) biking, and a lot of memories.

sorry for the delay, guys... I finally found the time to take some pics and update on my beloved denime 66xx.

outside yesterday at sunset (poor light)

at home today, it's raining outside and the light is not ideal anyway

(with flash)

these jeans were slightly oversized on me and washed several times.

results: pros-the jeans are in great conditions, the crotch is ok, the threads too, some minor repairs are needed but nothing serious.

'cons': no combs, no sharp creases.

well, these have been 2 great years for me

a son, a new home and a new band made this a great period of my life

and this makes me love this pair even more.

Thanks Edmond, Atzec and all those who made this happen, love.

wow 2 years went by fast. didn't start on these until after FC contest. did a few tours and alternated between WH 660's and Eternal contests. so, overall i'm guessing a year and a few months total wear?? really love this denim and fit. and to think way back in the beginning i was gonna sell them!?! what a bad move that woulda been.

Thing is, that all pairs (and I really mean all) reflect the wearing/caring habits of their owners and look good & unique.

I voted for swissjeansfreak, as I am a comb maniac and I love the colour tone of those. But regarding my preferences, almostnices, tvshooters and Atzecs pair would have deserved a vote too.

But who cares about votes, when he has such a nice vintage pair in his closet?

(Pmd B_f for his generous offer to borrow his Denimes)

Swissfreak please machine wash those just once and post pics...please! Love em all but as the king of wash I must say two years raw intrigues me. If anyone feels like reposting my last pic update months ago feel free, I really enjoyed these waist overallsسلامي
