I definitely agree. It isn't really a conscious decision then again. When I wear it I love the fit and the fabric, but I still long for an all blue pair.

- Nudie Regular Ralf from 2006 over 900 wear days (work pants only)

- APC New Standard from 2008 as emergency pants about 500 wear days

2. Denim jackets

- IH black black 21/23 oz denim jacket since March 31 2014 (during winter time as second layer)

- Lee Storm Rider Repro since Okt. 2014 (Winter season only)

- Lee 101-J jacket from the 60-ies worn over 6 years (work jacket only)

- 2 Lee Storm Rider LJ-101 from the 60-ies worn over 6 years each (work jackets only)

The 25 oz IH jeans are too filthy and greasy now and because of the growing patina and strong smell I'm afraid I can't wear them any longer as my office pants .

They also start getting stiffer again because of too much sweat and grease and other dirt since I never ever wash or soak my raw denim gear.

Beside those 4 jeans and 5 denim jackets there are over 7000 jeans and 5000 denim jackets in the little Jeansmuseum of heaviest fadings, in case I would need some change ha ha.

But I'm usually wearing one jeans and jacket straight every day!

^ Heavydoom Great, I usually also wear one jeans in a row for office and one for outdoor and work pants. My current IH 25 oz jeans have been worn straight since March 31 2013 with a few little breaks over the last 3 months, when I had meetings or other important sessions in the office for not to offend the other people there with my old jeans

truth is, i am in uniform 5 days a week.  one pair of a great pair of jeans to wear for a year makes sense for me.

Little while ago, I donated some of my jeans (and other clothes) to charity, so they are now being worn by some poor people in Northern India. Hopefully will keep them warm during the colder times.

 

Anyway that has left me with two active pairs of jeans:

In 1975 I bought my first Levi's 501..had them for 4 years and I wore them daily from morning to night another year and a half.Where I live then it was very difficult to buy new jeans.
A mystery to me how you can kill new jeans in 1-2 years.
I was very glad when I learned about the production of jeans in Japan(and not only),today I can buy any jeans,decent,appropriate quality in all respects.

I started with a Levis then Wrangler then Lee and other brands later

Oddly enough, the most lasting impression of that time period (mid 70s) affected on me jeans "President".

I'm only familiar with one instance,these jeans belonged to my buddy.

Features : Rich dark blue color (reminded PBJ 007/009),stitched with a thick thread copper color,obviously heavier than 14-15 oz,very tight denim; contrast fading.I remember when we first time together with a friend washed these jeans and squeezed together (Yes,squeeze),and of course both happy and blue from head to toe.

Unfortunately Google gives nothing.Maybe someone has info about this brand ?

P. S. I don't think it was illegal production,because it is a very high level and the price for purchase.
