How many pairs of jeans do you own?

Recommended Posts

i was also afraid my 33 champloos would shrink too much but so far it hasn't happened (machine washed it maybe 4-5 times, cold, with spin cycle). they are snug though. so a 34 would be good for lounging around in my later years. so, b_F, if a 34 can initially fit you, then they'll stay that way unless maybe you tumble dry em. the denim feels tough, but it does stretch. it's just that at first, when you've still got a bit of starch in them, it can take a while.

and here are some pics to get you hot and bothered again:

Do you still have your 5 Edwin Nashville jeans?

I only have 2 pairs. One that I wear out, and this pair for DIY...

I wish I had kept hold of the older ones. I was looking at some photos of our Millennium eve (!) party and I was wearing some Nashvilles that must have been the old made in Japan ones. The ones I have currently aren't.

I think they're great jeans. I prefer a slimmer cut these days, but the Nashville is so comfortable. Love the massive back pockets.

Yeah, I really like them. I just threw out the older pairs.

Aah, too sad.

This info is always killing my raw denim heart.

Would have loved to display your retired Nashvilles in the Jeansmuseum

Perhaps next time, when you have to retire one.

I also love their roomy comfy fit and the big back pockets a lot!!

And Bobbo

Are your Lee 23 oz jeans and the Samurai S5000 GX M defnitifely retired?

Just be sure to never ever throwing them away

Otherwise let me know before

Yup cool collection.

What happen to imperials, don't see them get mentioned much.

How are they compared to Samurais?

The Imperials are cool. Only have a month or two of wear. but when I was visiting my parents, mom threw them in the wash and they shrunk a ton and have some vertical dye shifting, so I haven't worn them since. They are infinitely softer than the Sammy's, really almost no starch at all. Really really solid construction though. If they were indigo I'd wear them a lot more.
