How many pairs of jeans do you own?

Recommended Posts

A great enabling thread.  I'll have to look at a few more posts for multiples of the same pieces. And Type II's...I think I've got 5. TCB,SC, Samurai,Levi,-3SC. 6. One raw black, one unwashed, and one 50-50. I don't see a problem.

Gas Jeans = 3 Pairs

Japanese Raw Selvedge (Warehouse or PBJ or Unranded Brand) = 0 but will buy this month

Thanks @swiss-jeansfreak. The idea was courtesy of my (ever tolerant) good lady wife. Will need a second one soon though :).

Yeah I know the raw denim addictness dikemma. You can never ever have enough raw denim around which needs some space.

And luckily your wife even sustains your passion!

Hey @swiss-jeansfreak... this got me thinking... how many pairs have you got now in your amazing museum of eternal denim life?

Ooh difficult question since still no proper inventory

About 8000 jeans and 6000 denim jackets approximately

I myself have 2 pairs of jeans in my current rotation

Thanks a lot !

Yeah quite an amount after collecting denim since 1973

But I myself am just wearing the same 1 or 2 pairs of jeans all the times

I love that so many of us denimheads use the IKEA kitchen rail systems to hang oour jeans. I still use the S-hooks to hang mine (from nails). The bigger size S-hook can hold 2-3 pairs in a pinch. But it make so much sense to have them all lined up and ready to pick from, plus, hanging them is the only way, imo.  Nice work on those all, btw.

Roy Denim.

Warehouse are the only ones in my currently collection explicitly referencing the 1930's with a Lee and Levis type jeans.
LVC has/has had 1930 models (1933 and 1937, maybe more) out and so does Conners with a 1937 model...

^^ seconded! What a line up @Foxy2!

Interested in knowing how long you have been collecting? And do you have a favourite jean and jacket? (I tell my children it is impossible to pick a favourite (between my children) so I understand if you decide to pass on this).

That's a wild collection, @Foxy2! Would you consider posting some side-by-side photos of your various SC40302s? I wasn't aware that these were made with two separate versions of the persimmon dye, and in particular I'd be really interested to see how the two versions differ.

those ...302-XXX came in (at least) 4 versions and the standard ...302 got re-issued over the years.
of far I have not managed to catalogue everything (which allows for a mistake or a mix-up here and there), nor photograph each pair properly...

in my defense - I only post this every couple of years & I've slowed down!

it's just a couple of boxes and some stacks of jeans (considered "in rotation", but whom I'm kidding...) divided between 2 locations.
