I have these that fit me:

  • Samurai Geisha size 2 (boot cut)
  • Momotaro 8005SP size 27 (straight leg)
  • Baldwin Ten size 27 (like a slouchy skinny)
  • Japan Blue 1169 size 26 (skinny)

I have these that don't fit me very well:

  • Baldwin Ten size 25 (fits in the legs; too much room in the upper butt and waist; back rise too high)
  • Baldwin Ten size 29 (too big)
  • Samurai Geisha size 3 (too big)

And this one is coming in the mail next week from ebay

  • Flathead Balder size 27

Here's what I currently own, from oldest to newest:

Levis 510, Light Wash - bought in 2008. Worn frequently in 2008 and 2009. Not worn but once or twice between then and 2016. Now I wear these every now and then. Looks great with chelsea boots.

Samurai S710xx - bought in May 2012. About seven months of real wear time, and two washes. After I get a 12 moths of wear in my current jeans, I'm going to focus on these and get them up to 12 months.

3Sixteen ST-120x - bought in December 2014. About 13 months of real wear time. I usually wear these with chelsea boots these days. Will continue wearing as my main pair in maybe a year or so.

Nudie Thin Finn Back 2 Black - bought in August 2016. I wear these when I feel like wearing black jeans. Maybe about a month of wear? I wear them periodically. No real goal in mind for these.

3Sixteen RH15 - got these in about March of 2016, I think? These are my current main pair. They're at about six months of wear. Will keep wearing these most days until they get up to 12 months. Will probably put more wear in them a year or two later.

These fitted perfectly!

ive just ordered Diesel Acitivista jeans on sale in size 23- also ISKO mill denim-I hope they fit ok!

now that I'm back to 5 pairs , I'm on a denim ban until I wear a pair out, as although I used to have 20 pairs I never wore them all, and I think 5 pairs is the optimum number given my small size, to rotate, then if my weight changed I wouldn't have to replace 20 pairs(my oldest jeans, my Momotaro GL007-MZ, nearly 17 monnths are too big but I still wear them a lot anyway-I'll wear them until they disintegrate although I have more flattering jeans..

I own a horrible number of them (though a majority are not "fancy" jeans). I think it's around four dozen, and probably a few over two dozen jackets and slightly fewer than two dozen shirts (and a much higher percentage of my jackets are indeed "fancy" ones). There are probably half a dozen pairs of slacks as well. Some of the jeans are low end pairs, like imported Levi's, that I have mostly cycled out, but I do still wear them a week or two per year. A handful of others are on the chopping block – thrift store finds that I got cheap as projects, but have not got around to wearing/dyeing/altering/etc. A handful are things I got big deals on and grabbed for the future, so they aren't in the rotation *yet*. In serious rotation, I'd say 12 pairs of jeans. The second string is another 6–12 pairs. When you look at the sheer numbers, combined with the fact that they pretty much never get washed because they don't get that hammered with funk week after week, it should be obvious that I am a slow fader.

The first string dozen are:

1. EU Lee 101Z 19 oz., blue

2. Wrangler 936, black

3. Levi's 501 STF, blue

4. Wrangler 13MWZ, rigid

5. Japanese Lee Buddy dungarees, blue

6. Levi's 505, rigid

7. Carhartt Loggers, rigid

8. Lee Japan Archives 1936 101B

9. Sugar Cane Type III

10. Levi's 501 STF, double black

11. EU Lee 101 Rider, double black

12. EU Lee 101 Rider 16 oz., Lot #16. These are indigo dye over black sulfur dye (extremely dark blue, almost black), and have beautiful complimentary orange stitching and a tan hair-on-hide patch (which is stitched all the way around, i.e. without a belt pathway). I also have a pair of the Cinch Tapers made from this same lot of denim.

With all the big deals recently, I've just gone on an LVC run (1915x2, 1944, 1966, 1955, Triple Pleat), so I've got a feeling some of these first string pairs are going to be bumped down the list. I'm starting my fourth consecutive day on my '66's right now.

My jackets are split between two locations. I cycle lined and unlined ones to and from storage, as the weather dictates.

My first string spring/summer jackets:

1. Sugar Cane Type II, black

2. Wrangler 11MJ Japanese repro, blue

3. Wrangler 126MJ, dead stock 1980. This is when they first returned to the small collar. I have another dead stock 126MJ from the same year, a size smaller, with the big, ugly collar.

4. EU Lee 101 Rider Jacket, grey w/ navy weft

5. Levi's M.I.U.S.A. Selvedge Trucker

6. Sugar Cane Type II (short), blue

My fall/winter first string:

1. EU Lee 101 Storm Jacket, black

2. Lee 101 U.S.A. Badlands Jacket, double quick-fading indigo with thin herringbone wool lining

3. Levi's Made and Crafted Type II Trucker, indigo w/ pile lining

4. EU Lee Storm Rider, black with white weft

5. Wrangler flannel lined Western Jacket, blue (MIM, circa early '00's)

...and I'm ready to phase in two new acquisitions this cold season:

1. Rising Sun blanket lined Ranch Jacket, blue

2. Dead stock early '70's vintage Lee Storm Rider (I spent so much energy hunting this down in the oversized fit I wanted)

Yes, it's kind of ridiculous, I do realize now. I am aiming to limit myself to only one new shirt, one new jacket, and one new pair of pants next year, and to purge at least half a dozen of my "lesser" pairs, and a jacket or two. I'm thinking about ordering a pair of W.H. Ranch High Ryder jeans at the top of the year, and hopefully they'll be done by X-Mas. Hopefully the anticipation for that pair will keep me on the straight and narrow!

Wow awesome raw denim addictness at your place.

And Whranchdungarees pants are really an amazing option!!!!!!

I myself am a slow fader too and I have no chance to break in all my raws on my waiting list.

I would need 1000 legs more

The usual big raw denim dilemma

And can you send me pics of your 2 Wrangler jackets with the 2 different collars?

I will try to get around to doing that, though it might take me a bit of time. The tight fitting big collared one is in storage, and the regular fitting small collared one is kept at home year round. I work 50–60 hour weeks taking pictures all day, so it's hard to find the motivation to take personal pix on the weekends. I do want to document these jackets in detail, before they break in much more, though, so it will get done eventually.

For me a lot of times I fund new purchases by selling old pairs. I had a mass exodus after I lost a bunch of weight. That got the Roy’s, 1915, 1937, 1955 And sugar canes. The samurais I ended up not being very interested in cause of the fast crocking high contrast. After the first wash I was kinda blown away by what they looked like and it actually turned me off of buying any Japanese jeans for a really long time. I didn’t really know a whole lot about samurai and kinda bought them on a whim as a noob coming from owning a couple pairs of LVC. I sold the 1944s and 60s cause I didn’t like the cut.

edit : this is also spanning a period of around 10 years, so might seem crazier than it actually is.

Not shown, Samurai 710, Tanuki NT1, Tanuki RT1, Strike Gold. (If I listed everything previously owned and sold/outgrown/worn out, I'd look like a total BiG/BOW fanboy)

Yeah my first selvedge jeans where my ‘37s back in 2005-6. A lot of raw denim before that but nothing fancy (Non selvedge Lee, Cheap Monday and Wrangler don’t make the list, right!?). Unlike you I’ve stayed pretty much the same weight and only sold a pair of K.O.I and Imperial.
