How many pairs of jeans do you own?

Having a big collection of jeans is impressive but impractical. You'll never get any noticeable wear in a huge collection. My strategy is to wear a pair for a year or so to break it in nicely without destroying it, then wear them occasionally (1-2 days a week) while breaking in the next pair. After some years this should result in a nicely-faded collection of jeans with plenty of life left in them.

Personally, I'd rather have just a few pairs of jeans, and spend the rest of my clothing budget on other items, like shirts/shoes/etc.

It wasn't without some regret - sold most of the Valencia street stuff due to crazy cash offers from collectors/wearers, only keeping a couple of pairs of 55's and the duck set.

With our economy squeezing the very breath from our lungs, bills to pay and a house that needs fixing up - I couldn't turn 'em down. Plus i want a ps3

I own a very uninteresting three:

Marc Jacobs x Wrangler: my first pair of selvedge jeans. Unfortunately, I did not know anything about that that when I received them so they were washed after only a couple of wears and the indigo set.

Unbranded 101: my official entry into the world of raw selvedge denim. I've owned them for well over a year now but wasn't serious about wearing them until about six months ago. Currently on hold until I can repair a tear in the crotch.

Levi's Rigid Dragon: a cheap (only 20 bucks on sale) raw pair for summer wear.

With the heat in Toronto I'm mainly sticking to the LHTs and APCs. Flat Heads are too tight these days, and the IHs are a bit heavy (though I try to wear them when I can).

Haven't worn the N&F customs at all and I kind of regret buying them.
