yeah ron, when i first bought the 5000x they fit like that baggy in all areas, and even after the soak when it shrunk about 1/2 to 1 inch,it quickly stretched backed. so i decied to go -2.

Sorry DDML, I did not mean to steal your thunder...but when you posted that you were soaking them I decided to pull out my camera. I soaked mine in hot water, 2 hours, hang dry.

waist before 38, now 36.5

inseam before 38.25, now 36.5

front rise before 12, now 11.5

back rise before 15.5, now 14.75

knee before 10.5, now 10

hem before and after 9.75 (maybe I mismeasured the before?)

I bought my actual body size, I did not size down. Here's how they fit.

I think everyone that sized down will probably be ok. These are not tight in the waist. They were snug in the seat and thigh, but have already loosened up after 3 hours.

There aren't any difference in sizing between the black and regular 5000?

same type of sizing, 2" bigger per tag size. ddml got a fluke from toshi-co

guys, i'm at BiG right now. tried sizing down to a 30, and it just wasn't happening for me--impossible to button. i'm actually gonna go with a 32, same as the xx-005s. i think these ride a little low too so a 32 is probably a better bet for me--also they don't have any 31s. they are beautiful jeans....

soaked my size 28 for two hours in bathtub with lukewarm water.

they fit just about perfect now. i'm about a 29.5 waist.

only complaint is that the inseem is so fucking long, wish they were more like my 811s, but hemming them up three inches shouldn't be a problem.

the black dye must be comprised of various colors--------like black markers are really a combination of reds, blues, etc. strange that only the BLUE runs off.

how's the fit?

yeah lot is the series number, should be 1 or 0 for S5000bk but maybe they mean the number for S5000*. The other number is individual, I have pair number 190. 400 pairs were made.

Maybe the black is composed of indigo mixed with other colors, and as we know indigo only coats the fibers, but doesn't penetrate it much. Maybe if the blue keeps falling off but none of the other colors, you guys will have some pink jeans or something.

I would laugh maniacally if that happened. Hell I will laugh maniacally even if it don't happen. What you gonna do about it?
