Outlier made two coats recently.  The duffle coat has some cool upgrades like Fidlock closures:

Not my personal cup of tea, but interesting and modern upgrades to a traditional coat.

I had actually forgotten about these, probably because they're not really my cup of tea either. Mainly interested in a single breasted coat with a classic cut but everything regarding technical garments with a wool appearance is still interesting to read about. Duffle reminds me about the Visvim Gore-tex Commodore though.

Any techwear alternatives to a woolcoat this season? Last years coat from the Viridi-anne was amazing, was hoping to find something similar, preferably in gray though, but it doesn't really matter that much.

That's it, more than anything. And, to make matters worse, their email response time is the worst.

And their shipping policy is fucked. I bought a pair of pants on last week and they have to ship it to toronto from another location inside canada before they can ship it to me....still waiting for my tracking. Why not just ship me my order directly.

Herno Laminar FW 15/16

Common models aside from those listed are PI001UL, PI002UL (PI001UL without detachable hood)

Stockists with the most Laminar models afaik:

https://www.ikrix.com/gb/brand/men/herno

http://www.theclutcher.com/en-US/men/brand/herno(same company as below?)

http://store.inzerillo.it/en/3_herno

Most stores, especially Italian ones, do not explicitly label the Laminar models as such; you can either google the product code, check the listed images for the "Herno Laminar" lettering at the back of the collar and inside the jacket, or if the listing indicates that it is Made in Romania.

You can also enumerate the URL [001...241] to query all Herno models, including their Subzero and Tech line.

For EU buyers, you might want to try purchasing off Cupertino which apparently do not charge VAT?  :)

Last, pic of my recently purchased fishtail parka (PI019UL) bought for 50% off.

Ten C: Techwear Meets Heritage

A lot of men’s fashion today can be broken into two camps. On the one end, you have heritage (and heritage-inspired) brands that rely on the classics. On the other end, there are avant garde labels creating conceptually interesting – even if hard to wear – designs that break from the past. Ten C is a relatively new Italian outerwear company that sits between these two worlds – perfectly blending techwear with heritage, innovative fabrics with classic military design. Think of them as: Stone Island meets Nigel Cabourn...

The original concept for Ten C was simple: create a “forever collection,†which would be comprised of seven fall/ winter outerwear designs, made from the same fabric, but offered in four colors. And never do anything else – don’t change the collection, don’t introduce anything new. Just make things that will last and people can keep forever...

Of course, the fashion industry has a way of forcing itself on people. After a few years, some of Ten C’s stockists started to ask for new designs, and there was the issue of seasonal collections...

So, the company has introduced a new three-layer, breathable shell (sort of like Gore-Tex, but without the Gore-Tex branding). They’ve also added a few new designs, such as a modified American deck jacket, a parka inspired by a standard-issue NATO coat, and an anorak taken from something worn by the British Royal Navy. It’s a slightly expanded collection, but the company’s soul still stays fairly true to itself. The designs carry over from season-to-season, fighting against the idea that you necessarily have to re-invent the wheel every year. In the summer you may find their snow smock in their breathable shell; and in the winter you’ll find it in their original Japanese jersey...

man i wanted to like isaora's insulated shirts but they are not made for people with slim midsections. p2p fits fine so I can't size down, but all the heat that the primaloft is suppose to capture escapes out from the bottom. ends up making my body feel this weird mixture of cold/hot esp if theres wind.

wondering if that y3 is cut any slimmer

Some new Fidlock accessories from DSPTCH.  Especially interested in these two.  I already have the Outlier keypiece and it's been amazing but I've been waiting for them to release extra attachments to keep in my bags so I can easily switch from my belt to in-bag carry, but DSPTCH has beat them to it.  Also been dreaming of a Fidlock belt--this is the first one I've seen.  Definitely picking these two up.

Can anyone help me find something that resembles this Minotaur 3-Layer Fishtail Coat?  Black or Olive with a hideaway hood.

thanks in advance

Pretty sure nonnative had something very similar to that this season or previous.  Not sure if there was a stowable hood though.
