Acronym.

Man, looking at this, makes you realize just how small scale Acronym is.

Pretty sure E's take home from Acronym is very minimal.  Looking at the complexity of product, COGS, logistics cost/qty, I can somewhat understand the pricing.

What's your definition of minimal. Between Acronym, Nike ACG, and SISP, I'm sure hes doing pretty well for himself.

Yea, letting the straps hang must be for photos only.  Tying them is a must.  You pretty much pull your pants down reaching into your pockets, at least on the 23a.

are you serious? that doesn't sound very ergonomic to me... maybe in the end I might be forced to add my own belt loops... haha

You are totally right, i tried on P23A Size Small, it loosen immediately when i take my first step. I am 29-30 inch waist. Without tightening, the waist of P23A is more than 40

tbh not many ppl own the original p25. i suspect this is mainly an issue for skinnier dudes who are cinching the pants down more than most

acr's design and production methodology have not measurably changed since the early days but their prices have more than doubled. the take home is going to be good.

not a judgment, just good business.

Am I the only one being shocked that firmament did not stock this season? You know The Glade era etc. They did not respond to me about this on fb. Any info?

ACR dropped them like a few other retailers - no further or a detailed comment was given to them.

update to this: if you move the 'bunches' of fabric that accumulate on either side of the buckles, they seem to work a bit better. the fabric bunching seems to not allow the buckle to lay flat (which is what locks the straps in place)

Alternatively you could mall ninja it and buy a cam buckle from amazon for $1/piece.

It's been brought up previously but acronym webbing isn't proprietary. If you run into any issues or want increased functionality you can most likely find an affordable solution at an outdoor/milspec store.

cop ITW cams for that brand synergy

Interesting. Who were the other retailers? I'm guessing that Revive and Fwrd were dropped as well.

I suppose I don't really know the first thing about the process of operating a small inventory, high price retailer. Considering the prices vs something like the archetypal fashion houses, I would assume that margins on Acronym are far smaller. Which could have the potential to seriously harm the longevity of these boutiques if they get stuck with any dead inventory at all? I'm interested to see where this is going over the next few seasons, with the influence of the hype I expect Acronym to continue to raise the prices until they find their price equilibrium on the number of sales made (It's been ages since I took economics, if someone can help me on the name of this concept). After which point, one might assume that they would use the excess revenue to expand the brands production and bring prices back down? Is it even possible to create an economy of scale on a product that is intended to be on the cutting edge year after year?

production possibility frontier or something i think

So October is looking like: J61-GT, J56-S, J62-S, P25H-DS, P26-S, J65-WS, NG7-PS?

I am hoping for the NG4 so bad. Unless someone wants to relinquish their NG3.

can't believe they dropped firmament. maybe they will come with the second batch.

me neither but after a phone call with andre yesterday where he confirmed that they got dropped by them I can assure you.

they didn't even put an order for FW because they wasn't informed via subnet mail and the possible order was passed over - sad but true

That is so unbelievable, as a 'german' brand with a showroom and company headquarter in Germany, dropping the only local retailer is nearly treason. Sorry for being that dramatic, but I am really upset about this right now.

They also dropped Nitty Gritty for this years drop and the employers didn't even know why.
