Acronym.

Carlooa: This is something I've thought about quite a bit. I rationalize my love of ACR on the basis that capitalism is perfectly fine when it comes to the distribution of fancy goretex jackets - as opposed to say, open-heart surgery. I guess you could say I'm a socialist when it comes to the necessities, but I like getting paid and buying cool shit too.

I need crimsons 10us in eu, if anybody could help me out with proxy please pm

The resellers with these air forces are funny. These are really not for the masses and I dont think they are wearable with anything except acrnm(+-).

Quick question for those of you experienced in shipping:

I've got a friend who is willing to send their AF1s to me from Germany. With that being said, what would be the most cost-efficient / safe way to send them via? I assume it's going to cost some cash, but I'm willing to spend the money to guarantee the safety of it. I would like the whole box.

Thanks.

DHL will be your best bet but could be pricey.

You should clarify that by DHL you actually mean Deutsche Post. And yes, I'd agree.

Shouldn't be too pricey if you're American and don't have to worry about duties and such.

Sorry yea totally forgot they are DHL everywhere else haha. They are excellent. Super quick and never had any problems.

In a capitalist system, only the rich can afford luxuries. Under full communism, everyone can wear Acronym.

It's legit depressing to see how many DAF1 posts there are on grailed right now.

My mate was in the line at NYC and actually got me a pair, but he said almost everyone around him was talking about how much they were gonna resell for etc.

It's probably all the people who saw the popularity of the Acronym Presto's and think that the DAF-1's will resell for the same high value, but don't realize that not everyone wants these like the presto's.

So hopefully re-sell goes down on the DAF-1 after awhile.

price on the daf1 are dropping like bricks. i've seen some around $350 and they just released today. i'm guessing retail-ish by next week.

im wearing a pair in 10.5 that fit very well. if i had any problems it would be they are slightly narrow and slightly longer than what i am use to. not enough to size down/up on however. i wear 10.5 in the lf1 and med in the prestos.

DHL is good. Bit be sure to pay for insurance and tracking as "Paket". Recently had a parcel that took nearly two months from Germany to USA.

UPS is an option as well but more complicated.

Thanks everyone. I will relay this information.

Hopefully shouldn't be too expensive.

Maybe I should just write off a trip to Germany as a business expense- hah

I'm going to sound a bit snobby:

With Acronym's wider popularity, the wave has brought some idiots that would usually buy (insert hype trend) since it's what the cool/social media industry shills personalities are wearing. I'm not saying ascribing to the aesthetic of a cult brand is a sufficient condition to indicate intelligence but I'm wary of people asking whether a shell is warm or if a soft shell is a stand alone piece. I know a lot of people here make Acronym considered purchases, many care about the provenance and development of the pieces and aesthetic. The average conspicuous consumer seems less inclined to give a damn.

With all this in mind, can you guys all do me one big favor? When you want to type "legit check," can you use the grown-up word "authenticate" instead? ;)

Lets not forget the countless questions that people asked without using the simple search bar or go back a few pages. ( even though when asking this specific question they state " I know this question is asked before" ) sadly, we will still see "legit check" and questions that can be found with a simple search.  they will never see what we just said here. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Honestly, the whole buy/sell game is tired at this point. (It's not worth your time or money to potentially deal with fakes and or asshole sellers on the secondary market)

Save your money, do your homework on the items you think you'll want, find out what retailers offer returns for refunds and just buy from them. Point final. Trust me, you won't be happy with the used GT-J28 that you just spent US $2500 on.

I noticed that you could get the original AF1 lows for retail/below about a month or two later on grailed as well.

hey guys, I ordered a pair of DAF1s on acrnm.com on the second drop (feb. 9th midnight) but haven't gotten my tracking yet. Anyone else having this problem? thanks

Same here. Sometimes it can take over a week. Nothing to worry about.

For future reference (https://www.dhl.de/popweb/ProductOrder.do?checkOnInit=false&insert=false&itemId=0)

The first option has no insurance or tracking, for a 50€ insurance + tracking you need to add 3€ to the price.

The "paket" options includes insurance up to 500€. +14€ for 1k€ insurance, +28€ for 2k€ insurance etc...up to 5k€

In your case, it would cost 37€. I can proxy things if anyone wants btw, just pm me.
