Acronym.

Just discovered the J1A-S's gravity pockets don't have zipper access on the sleeve.

Slightly disappointed by that. It's not quite as easy to load it from the cuff.

Still works pretty cool though. I can manage to catch my phone about half the times I try to deploy it, so I might stick to using it for my wallet instead.

the j32-gt being my first acronym piece, i'm a little underwelmed by it all. i was expecting something fancy with the gravity pockets (remember seeing a video on youtube about some sort of spring mechanism used), and in the end it's just an opening with a buttoned down flap haha. still a cool jacket, but i think i paid way too much for it.

on another note, i've forgotten how noisy goretex shells can be.

Gravity pocket is just a fiction, or marketing step, in real life they are not easy to use...

Lucky you, someone just posted in the community sales thread that they want to buy one (small)

Or if you haven't worn it out yet (removed the tags) you could just return it.

oh no i'm keeping it. despite being a little let down, i fucking love the jacket.

the gravity pockets are pretty easy to use for me. only difficulty is the snap button resistance to unlock. but i guess that's needed to keep shit from falling out easily.

Let down because of the (deceptively) simple construction and execution? That's the genius of it.

It's not just the snap button, the entire sleeve pattern is designed to work with the gravity pocket; notice all that extra elbow room? It's not just for ease of articulation. It's part of the jutsu.

^for me it has to be the execution. and i think you are right about it being deceptively simple. because to me, it's just a hooded hardshell that many outdoor/techwear brands offer. but paying close attention to the construction (especially at the shoulder and pit area), you really are able to appreciate the design a whole lot better. there was talk about the design of the front pockets. perhaps i don't know enough about garment construction to really appreciate the thought behind the design. to me, it really isn't groundbreaking. i've experienced the catch design before so it's nothing out of the ordinary (but maybe uniquely distinct on a shell?) but i do agree that the placement of the front pockets are perfect. i haven't paid any attention to the elbows working inline with the gravity pockets though. my brick of a phone simply drops without effort due to the weight haha.

i think if i had purchased the j1a-s or one of the j38 variants as my first acronym piece, i would feel more satisfied. as those being the embodiment of acroynm's design. whereas the j32-gt is more of a piece that offers a little taste on what acronym has to offer. perfect for acronym noobs like myself.

Nothing on that jacket is ordinary. But I won't spoil it for you! Enjoy!

I am similar to Swooc as in the J32-GT is my first real Acronym hardshell (other than my WS-J25, which is somewhat specialised jacket). Especially with the signature features such as the gravity pockets, escape zips and what not. But, apart from the gravity pockets, which I knew won't have much use for, I do appreciate the other features, especially the escape zip and 3d-collar-hoodie-stowaway-featurey-thing, these two features I can see using often, the latter mainly for aesthetic reasons (and wind protection). I also knew more advance jackets weren't for me, I wanted a more subtle styling, and have waited some time till the J32 showed up. As for construction and comfort, it really does feel great and well made, and I guess that's the most important bit. Not all the features are useful, but if it wears great, and the quality is agreeable to the price you paid, I would say that's a keeper right there. And yes, the fabric is loud, which might be an operation hazard in your ninja ops, might want to switch on the active noise cancelling array.

I'm starting to think that different features appeal to different people, but since most jackets have most of the features there's something for everyone.

For instance, I never use the escape zip. For me it's always faster to simply unzip it the regular way, but I think it's awesome that so many people enjoy using it and it's definitely something that I wish all my jackets had.

For me, the most useful feature is definitely the jacketsling. It's just about the most convenient way to carry a jacket without wearing it, perfect for climates with changeable weather.

Am I the only person who didn't receive carabiners for their p10-s from both haven and hanon? Fw1213 had carabiner accessories included.

You bought a P10 from haven and from hanon?

Mine is arriving from acrnm store on Friday, I'll post back.

Maybe not this season.  I can't find 'carabiner' in spec.  It's good for me to pass this season.  A little bit disappointed with J1A-S.  Some details removed.  Worse than previous version of J1A.

Well the pictures have a carabiner, and the description says "With carabiner attachment loop and carabiner garage", and the weight says "Incl. removable parts".

If it arrives without it, I'm going to be very angry.

What details were removed? The current J1A seems to be a revised version of the SS08 Epic J1A with added 3D collar ridge.

mine didn't come with a carabiner either. don't think it's supposed to. last year's version actually has it in the spec though http://www.acronym.de/product.php?id=514 "Includes: Carabiner [ Removable ]"

All the branding was removed from the speedlock, sleeve hitch tabs, chest pocket... Also comes with blank logo tape. I like it. Cable tape is gone too but I never used that anyway.

I think 2 details were removed, but I'm not 100% sure since I can only figure it out with pics in the online shop & Acronym official site. One is gravity pocket's zipper. And the other is earphones support line beside storm pocket.

If you need that carabiner, it's TacLink by ITW Nexus.

Yeah, so dope without the logos. I hope this continues.

It's like the SS08 E-J1A, that doesn't have gravity pocket zippers either, which I personally prefer. It's stealthier.

It's not so much that I need the carabiner, it's just that for that price there's no reason they shouldn't include one.

Heck, it's 34eur more expensive than last year's model already.
