The bags look really good. Although the dude with rolled up jeans and possibly oversized hiking boots looks ridiculous.

I mean, they certainly fit him correctly. Sorry you don't agree with the look.

I am biased in every way. Wearing Danner boots and rolled up Levis 505's right now.

We received a large resupply of Sigg Heritage water bottles in all 3 make-ups.

After you’ve been around for 100 years, you can start throwing the word “heritage” onto stuff and we’ll be cool with that. Take SIGG for example. These fine Swiss receptacles have been hauling essential liquids since 1908. Well, not these actual bottles, but ones they have made. You know what we mean. Anyway, the heritage bottle spots an old-school top, and decidedly new-school EcoCare liner, made from BPA-free and phthalate-free ingredients. We don’t like those things in our water, and neither should you. Class up your liquid carry: Your date will thank you.

Nope but Bedwin will be available in-store next week and online probably the week after. Some solid stuff coming though...

Any chance of a restock on the Norse Projects red sweatshiry?

I have tried to get several restocks from Norse but they seem to be sold out of most product.

I noticed Bodega has some stock of the Vorm pocket sweatshirt... Might check them out.

It’s difficult to capture in words how satisfying a simple notebook can be, but we’ll give it a try. Sized to fit easily in your pocket (whichever pocket you prefer), designed to perform it’s humble but critical task without fault or flourish, these notebooks have developed a passionate (obsessive?) following. And we completely understand. Use them as a storage place for thoughts, observations, formulas, plans, dreams, poems, lists, drawings, inspiration and the like. Built well enough to last, but still inexpensive enough to abuse without a second thought

This waxed canvas backpack is a Woodlands product, constructed and produced exclusively for our shop.

For the second release in our ongoing partnership with Parrott Canvas in North Carolina, we chose to construct the bags with heavy, 10 oz waxed canvas and leather accents from the S.B. Foot Tanning Company in Red Wing, Minnesota.

Waxed canvas, also commonly referred to as "Tin Cloth," is one of the oldest textiles used in the outdoor and marine trade world. Often utilized for a variety of bags, tents and outerwear, waxed canvas is extremely useful in repelling moisture and only improves in function, over time.

Intended for daily use. The bag has one large compartment with dual zippers and a secondary, smaller compartment for your assorted loose objects. The Parrott Canvas Backpack features taped and double stitched interior seam construction, felted wool straps and a concealed trigger clasp for your keys.

Extremely limited numbers, made in USA of 100% domestically sourced material for The Woodlands.

For more than 20 years, vintage-hunter extraordinaire, Larry McKaughan has blazed a trail in the vintage market and reproduction garment industry, leading the way for many of today's largest "heritage" inspired brands in both the United States and Japan. As one of the most highly respected collector's in America, Larry's collection is extensive and extraordinarily unique. It features some of the most interesting and hard to find items available for rental or for sale anywhere in the world and has served as the inspiration or starting point for many brands in the United States and overseas.

Essentially, if you need to know the origin of a certain garment, where it was produced, in what era and why, Larry McKaughan probably knows the answer. Coincidentally, he probably has one or two of said garments sitting somewhere in his Heller's Cafe showroom.

In the last few seasons, Warehouse of Japan has commissioned Larry to create his own collection of clothing and accessories based on some of the pieces from his collection of American made work wear and sports wear. The Woodlands is proud to offer a small selection of these highly sought after garments, produced and made entirely in Japan.

For our first delivery, we received a sturdy cotton work shirt based on a classic pattern from the ‘30s, this work shirt features the kind of fabrication that only comes from a true love of one’s work. Made from heavy cotton flannel, this shirt has a reassuring heft to it, and the little things you’d expect from Heller’s: button-flap chest pockets with pen hole detail, moderately shallow gussets, chainstich body seams with the run-off left on, heavy-duty buttons, and the highest quality stitching around. The phrase “Built to last” is exactly what comes to mind with this shirt; you can expect years of pleasure and the sort of aging that only comes with a product intended to be worn hard and well cared for. These run true to size, and are a more classic fit—not too boxy, but not slim.

This handkerchief is another reflection of our opinion that almost no one is producing reproduction work wear of the quality and attention to detail that is found in the Heller’s Café products. The Wabash discharge print on this is truly amazing in its detail. With two to choose from, we feel it's hard to go wrong either way. Pattern A is made up of simple discharge dot stripes while on Pattern B, you will find alternating diamond and “x” shapes which make up the stripes. 100 percent cotton, these pieces will hold up over numerous washings, but will age and take on character befitting their origins and inspiration.
