Jacket and Roys look great, fre$co. I've always liked that EG shawl pea coat.

Other than the initial soak, they have had two handwashes and one (the most recent) hard wash in blazing hot water. The last one pulled a lot of the loose indigo out as well as some residual starch. they are nice and soft now.

Was your hard wash in the washing machine, or by hand? I think I'll do one last hot wash before the year is up, but I'm always very wary of throwing them in the machine...

Machine wash. My jeans get to a point where I feel the machine can't do any damage. Early on I think the machine can really kill a pair of jeans, but at some point i stop worrying about it and just toss them in there. I think I will do one last hot machine wash prior to final photos.

Wow! So much wonderful news going around this thread. I think the correlation "wear Roy X Cone jeans for 11 months and good things will happen"isn't too far off...

I just got my secret santa gift, and I have to say I'm pretty blown away. If we're allowed to post pictures and out who sent our gifts I would love to give this person some credit. Need to get mine out in the next day or so.

Do it! I sent mine out earlier this week, and I hope it measures up. I'll just say it's very "pittsburgh."

Nice to see paul again, and your pics tell a great story as usual.

Robbie, your fit looks awesome. Love where your cuff hits, and the sweatshirt is perfect.

Oh, and tg, the Joy Division onesie for your nephew is adorable. And nice pics too!

"pittsburgh" secret santa sounds legit!

tg- that fish is terrifying! i enjoyed that update a good deal.

All right, well this only took me two months, but i finally got myself to sit down and sift through the 2500 photos from my month and a half in india. After two rounds, i managed to get it down to a highlight reel of 40 for you all - hope that's all right! Still haven't gotten through Germany or Istanbul pics. But for now, ROYxcone do India!

Anyone read Shantaram?

amazing pictures daniel. india is one of the most culturally rich and amazing countries in asia. a lot of disparity but the amount of scenic splendour it holds is amazing. would love to see more photos if any. looking and thinking back about all your experiences in uganda and india, i daresay that i really don't think i'd be able to do it the way you have! bravo! by the way, did you suffer from the runs in india? apparently you do land up in hospital at least once if you visit india due to the higher amount of bacteria in the water. but im not sure if that'll happen to you since you've already been to the far side of the world.

andrew, post it up! i'd love to see your secret santa's gift and know who you got!

Yeah, let's see it, Andrew! That's one of the reasons I organized it :)

So many beautiful photos, Daniel! It looks like such an amazing adventure. I think my favorite photo is the second to last.

By the way, you can still get new Royal Enfields these days. Made in India since UK production ceased in the 70's, but you probably already know that.

Oh, that's terrible to hear, Paul! I know someone here who has one, but I haven't talked to him in ages. Maybe it's fallen apart by now.

Speaking of motorcycles, I realized I didn't take a single photo of my Roys on my old BMW :(

I always took it to be secret until it arrived? Maybe people could post what was sent to them if they want, and then we can guess.

For instance, if someone received a large box of discarded German porn, it had to have come from roy6.
