^Of course they are! I still wear them every now and then as they are in really good shape.

i dont really think there should be  concerns about the quality now that we know there owned by McCoys  , plus BF has said nothing but good things about the stitch quality and the pics of the denim speak for itself

@thor: like Flash said, construction wise there is nothing left to be desired. The denim is nice. It weighs 14oz but feels heavier. It fades slow and up to now we haven't seen real worn in pairs of the new XX denim. The XX cut is IMO really great if you want a '50s cut

I am deeply sorry to disappoint Mr Friedman in not posting a pair of Kyotos...

 

but the search for my holy grail has finally found its end. 5 years after the Denime contest I found a pair of 66XX in size 36 in BNWT condition. As the Denime 66XX was my first real pair of Japanese jeans from a Japanese brand, it feels like coming home!

In all honesty they look more fitted in those pictures than I expected But since they are a size 36 and my old contest pair was a size 34 and looked like this after some machine washes:

 

 

so that should work in the end

good catch Tilmann! I miss those days when my contest jeans were nice and crispy in post soak condition.

fit is gonna be perfect now even though I like the very slim fit on those size 34 as well

heres my 66xx bought it from take5 for like 300usd from wut i remember in 2009 when i was in hk not wearing everyday tho machine washed for like 3 or 4 times

how do them look on me i normally wear size 30 tho and the angle is bit messed up
