mrchariybrown 1,029,670 Posted September 15, 2008 Is the general consensus to size one down from true waist size? I'm a size 28 in APC NS, but the Self-Edge site is saying that their size 28 is indeed a size 30, so I'm thinking of sizing 2 down to 28 from sz 30?Thanks. I sized down one to a 30, but now thinking about it I could have easily fit into a 29.. so I'd say sizing down two is fine..

JTStylez 10 Posted September 16, 2008 Copped a pair today at Self Edge and getting them hemmed. I'll have fit pictures when I pick them up this Thursday. Woo! Nice, How do they fit? Are they baggy? I want to get mine tapered but I'm kinda iffy about it.
cheEeEEEz890 1,255 Posted September 16, 2008 Well I got a sz 28 and 28's are never baggy haha. They fit awesome though! My first pair of jeans were a pair of RRL's that I just retired. The RRL cut was very slim with a big taper, and were a little TOO slim for my tastes. To me the Dry Bones fit like a slim straight fit. I don't know how you like to wear your jeans, but if you want to get these tapered, why not return them for a different pair of jeans?

Cant return them, I already got them hemmed and I like the back pocket design. These are about an inch or so of more leg room then what I'm use to, I guess I have to beef up my legs. Haha

Revsta 240 Posted September 19, 2008 Here are my Red-D's. Bought in March or so I think. Worn pretty much daily. Pretty hard, I'd say these fade slowish. Size 31x39 lol.

.Legacy 47,220 Posted September 20, 2008 Can anyone, who owns a pair of Red-D's, measure where the waist band of these jeans sits. I need to know how low they sit below the naval. How much have these stretched in the waist ?
moykky 50,485 Posted September 20, 2008 ^^ Doesn't that depend...? You could compare the front and back rise on your own jeans to get the idea.
Revsta 240 Posted September 20, 2008 Not a TON of stretch. Maybe half inch?

I need to know how low they sit below the naval. How much have these stretched in the waist ? Wearing a tagged 30,natural waist at about 32.5, the jeans appear to be exactly 5 inches from waist to naval when being worn at a natural height. I'm 6'0 165lbs if that helps at all.

cheEeEEEz890 1,255 Posted September 24, 2008 Started my new pair of Red-D Slim's this past Friday. These are so nice. I'll post fit pictures sometime this week
Turntabloid 65,321 Posted September 24, 2008 yes, pls post some pics! bought mine at self edge last weekend. but pics have to wait until i am back home. did you guys soak/wash them first or started to wear them raw?
cheEeEEEz890 1,255 Posted September 24, 2008 I didn't soak my RRL's (they're sanforized) so I didn't soak these either since these are sanforized as well. I'll probably do some warm soaks ever so often to stiffen the denim up when it gets too soft.

cheEeEEEz890 1,255 Posted October 2, 2008 I know this isn't the best fit picture for the jeans and that I didn't include a picture of the back. I'll go out and take some more tomorrow. I just got a tripod today though and decided to try it out. These are exactly how I wanted these to fit. Slim cut but not too slim, with a more slim/straight than a slim/taper.
