Interest Check/Shameless Plug Alert!

I'm thinking of selling a BNWT raw pair of FH350s in 32/36 for £150 plus shipping.

These are a discontinued model, 50s style, same cut and 14.5oz denim as the 3005, but with polycotton stitching and asymmetric back pockets (like the F310 and F380).

Photos and measurements available upon request.

Anyone had experience with the new "wide" versions of the HN-52W flannels? Or, is fluent in Japanese? From what I can gather from Google Translate, they are simply less slim in the torso.

Anyone know how these compare size for size???

The Flat Head give this guide in English: (basically wider but not longer)

Changes – example of a 38 Size shirt Regular (38R):

1.
The vertical length of the garment will be the 0ne of a
38 size + approximately half a size
.

( Please note that the length of the 7001 and 7002 shirts won’t change as long already)

2.
The general width of the garment will gain
1 size and a half.

So a 38 size Regular garment will have a width of 41
.

3.
The width of the Hip bone line will also
gain 1 size and a half
.

4.
The waist width however will remain
around the one of a 38 size, just a tiny bit bigger
. A
Dart stitch
will be used in order to allow this waist difference and allow a proper silhouette for the user.

5.
The Width of the Shoulder will be bigger (1 size up) so it would be the one of a 40.

6.
The length of the sleeves will be
slightly shorter
but the length from the middle of the back collar to the end of one sleeve will remain unchanged. .

^ The denim is similar, however the 16oz 1XXX is heavier than the 14.5oz 3XXX.

EDIT: Shoreman, I asked the same question back in February and there was some subsequent debate on it:

The 1xxx denim supposedly stretches a fair amount, e.g. back to raw dimensions. These results were consistently reported for the SExFH05 jeans, which were made from the 1xxx denim. I do have a pair of 1001, but I have yet to soak or wear them so I can't comment from my experience.

As far as fading, the 3xxx and 1xxx seem to fade similarly. Differences I have seen between the two are more likely attributed to fit and amount of wear than the actual denim.
