this is a long shot, but i'm looking for a name of a photographer that was posted somewhere in this thread a while ago. this is the style of photographs that the photographer takes. very simplistic landscapes. any help is greatly appreciated!

floated down a river today.

breaking the rules

6 of these monkeys were brought to this river in the 1930s from asia and now there are hundreds of them along the river. blazed a blunt while taking pictures of these monkeys. so stoked.

I use the new kodak portra as my base. but my scans look nothing like the images I post here. everything I scan needs manual color correction, like this iceland series, so I can keep everything flowing and feeling cohesive... i've already gone back several times to match up my first scans to my recent ones.

Ah, I see. I used portra vc exclusively until my shop told me that they had discontinued it, but I guess that meant they got rid of specialty vc/nc ones. I've been shooting with Fuji Pro and haven't been as happy. Guess I need to change back.

re: left light at home. I much prefer naturally low light, if you're lens can handle it. Great work.

thanks! yeah i meant we left the light for the boat at home, and we were trying to make it back before it got dark out. i prefer natural low light as well, all though i was shooting with the s90 which can get really grainy in low light.
