I have been on my dream road trip for the past 2 weeks with my girl.

All the way up the west coast and then back down again - all shots are either point and click with my Contax G2 or a little bit more considered with RB67. I have other 800 scans from this trip. Best memories ever.

I'm also thinking about creating screen print t-shirts using my art work, tell me what you all think. Keep in mind these are rough mock ups and the sizing of the images will be modified to fit the shirts better.

these were my first few rolls ever. still working on composition - i have a bunch of rolls from a recent trip to la and one from local hardcore show that i haven't developed yet.

as you can see all of the shots are skewed slightly to the left. it's this t50. i recently picked up a yashica electro that i'm looking forward to playing with.

anyone else have experience with one of those? the electro?

i like this one. why is it flipped? that offset problem looks like it just needs a tune up. might be a pricey electronic fix cuz those t50s ran on batteries and shit. as for the electro, never used one but i love me a range finder camera. have fun!

i don't remember flipping it on purpose - probably just weird developing? in any case i'm really happy with how it turned out.

you are probably right about needing a tune up. i'm going to take it in when i pick up my la rolls and see what i can get done with it. also i'll take my electro in and see what they say about it. i'm not too familiar with rangefinders so i'll need some practical advice on how to use it to it's potential. i understand focusing, but that's about it.

do you have anything you've taken on a rangefinder you can post? i'm keen on using the electro for street, the t50 has a close range problem and i don't have money right now to buy a different lens.

if it bothers you that much id have it looked at. it seems to take decent photos and it can be easily remedied on the cheap with some scissors.

im not sure what you mean by "close range problem" but if you arent already aware, its not advisable to use a rangefinder camera for closeups. im not even sure they make lenses for that. but im guessing youll be using a stock 50mm lens or so. keep a notepad handy and log your shots. especially at first. a rangefinder is more involved and you need to get a good sense of distance and light to be quick for street photog. maybe invest in an infrared filter and film. or just get some b&w film and shoot from the hip!

I just got my first roll back from my Nikon RF, I found it sitting in my a drawer at home, dusted it off and ran a roll through of Fujifilm Superia 400 but a lot of the final shots from the roll jammed up and didn't end up coming through which sucks.

Mr. Ellis and ThinFinn, you dudes are killing it. Ellis, how did you light it? Kinda reminds me of David Sims old stuff.

Dope shots.

As for lighting I just have one Alien Bees b800 strobe. I think in both photos I had the light pointing up. The first one was to the side and in the 2nd right in front.
