Tredd, that would keep the current mkII in production for quite some time I'd think. 3500, yikes...it's going to be a long time before I own that camera.

Might as well go with Nikon and get the D800. The NR on the D800 is pretty insane as well. I really can't wait to see these 2 cameras compared.

Speaking of Nikon, did some food photos for a new grill and pub today and the d7k excelled against the 5dc in terms of looking better overall . The 5d kills in portraits though

so which of you guys are shooting with a nikon d700?

i´m thinking about going FF after shooting 1year with my D5000...and since the d800 will be out soon i think it´s the perfect time to cop the d700 after prices will go down (hopefully)

how´s the opinions on the D700?

only thing that´s a bit annoying is that there´s no video option on the d700...
