hmm so i really did end up making a first attempt at slide film... apparently backlighting is the worst enemy since the tonal range is much less than that of negative print film...going to have to overexpose sometimes in the future. sadly my scanner (epson v300) also doesn't handle slides nearly as well as c41's.

through a long series of events.. ended up in little tokyo at midnight on valentines day:

Thanks Zeen I think black and white works very well with some photos but with others it just plain sucks.

Loving that second picture and I'm not generally a fan of selective coloring but I think it works really well.

I like it, it's more film like than digital. I took it to a product shot shoot two days ago and it outperformed the d7k in sharpness, but the d7k did a wee bit better in dynamic range. I love it though...it takes some getting used to but it's worth it

Thanks dude! Yeah IQ supposedly beats out the 5D2 as well, but it would make sense that it doesn't have as good as DR as either the D7k or the 5D2 because it's older technology. I've actually heard of people dropping their 5D2 for the 5Dc cause IQ is better, just that the 5D2 has better Noise reduction.
