Thanks_M8 483 Posted July 20, 2018 I'll just call them mystery-jeans from now on Doesn't matter that much, tbh, since they fit, feel and look good, I was just curious. Thanks guys!
deniall83 15 Posted July 22, 2018 Do the suvin gold loopwheel tees shrink? They’re listed as one wash but in my experience with tees that doesn’t mean much. I’ve lost 2 inches in length on a one wash tee before.
Foxy2 7,400 Posted July 23, 2018 not really, IIRC...

benjamin831 1 Posted August 8, 2018 Are SDAs good for vintage fades?
beautiful_FrEaK 1,664,734 Posted August 8, 2018 Yes. Take their standard 15oz denim and wash regularly

Being only 5'7" I think the cut would be less slim on me given the hemming would cut a chunk off the aggressive taper, and that the rise would actually come up higher for me. Interesting thing is that I was quoted a 12.2" thigh measurement for a pair of 31s, which is similar to your 34s. Hopefully they'll fit they way I envision them to. Fingers crossed.
beautiful_FrEaK 1,664,734 Posted August 8, 2018 From whom did you get the measurements? Where did they measure? Did they measure an actual pair or quoted just some size charts? For the real vintage fades why not take a real vintage fit and take the SD-101? Nah you are right, when you hem the leg opening won't be that slim anymore.
Foxy2 7,400 Posted August 8, 2018 don't order too small on their standard denim - it keeps shrinking and is less forgiving over time then one might think...

Haha, I like the vintage fade but a vintage fit has never flattered my body shape or height!

Maynard Friedman 565,192 Posted August 8, 2018 (edited) It will stretch but not much and slowly. It is not a stretchy denim at all. The thread is littered with similar comments, advising people not to size down for this reason. Edited August 8, 2018 by Maynard Friedman

The waist of the OW jeans measure 31.5", so I think I went pretty TTS. Unless of course you think I should size up.
Maynard Friedman 565,192 Posted August 8, 2018 You will get 0.5” of stretch from a one-wash pair, so as long as the quoted measurements are correct, you’ll be fine.

Absolutey great denim, high contrast or vintage fades dependent on the washing regime but definitely not a very forgiving/easily stretched denim.
benjamin831 1 Posted August 9, 2018 Ahh I see, on the upside, at least the denim sounds stable. But does it continue to shrink smaller and smaller like one user suggests?
oomslokop 178,500 Posted August 9, 2018 for me, sda is automatic size up 2 for the waist. then it's a matter of finding cuts that you like on the thighs and legs.

SLAB 497,269 Posted August 13, 2018 that's a real beaut diggers. how heavy is the fabric? Orgueil is top knotch
benjamin831 1 Posted August 19, 2018 Thanks for the sizing help so far. Do SDAs continue you shrink tighter after subsequent washes through the leg?
Geeman 1,988 Posted August 19, 2018 1 good soak and wash gets all the shrink out I found. Waist will shrink but stretch back with each wash and subsequent wear

julian-wolf 1,318 Posted August 27, 2018 Picked up an indigo-dyed Orgueil henley at Self Edge yesterday and I'm loving it. Might be the beefiest non-waffle tee I own…either way, the fit's just what I was looking for and the fabric's something else. The buttons, in particular, are really special, though the above selfie doesn't do them justice. Was worth a shot.
