Ah you bought from Yuichi! I thought you would buy from Naoki but you can't go wrong with any of them :D

Yuichi of Kaizoku-Pirates has been good to work with over the years.  I asked him about the Resolute 710 months ago and he only had one wash.  He said he'd ask Resolute about a raw pair and get back to me.  I almost forgot about it, to be honest, but weeks later he emailed, saying the raw jeans were coming in a few days.

I've not ordered anything from Naoki at Pants Shop Avenue ... yet ;-)

How much do the 710's stretch out in the waist and thighs? Got mine today (one whole month after ordering them) and to my disappointment they fit more snugly then I hoped. It might be just that I've been used to comfortably fitting pants lately, but kinda unsure if I wanna keep them.

It's been too long since I had a new pair of raw denim. I bought the one-wash, yes.

Already removed the tag, so I guess I'll find out soon enough how/if they stretch. Really digging the fabric, so hoping for the best.

First impression coming from size 1 orSlow 107s (one wash); waist size 30 is definitely slimmer in the waist/seat fresh out of the box. Also somewhat more tapered legs.

Resolute 710 36x36 raw came in the mail today from Yuichi.  They look great and will get a hot soak later today.  Here are the raw measurements for those interested:

Waist           37.0"

Front Rise  12.125"

Back Rise   16.5"

Thigh          13.5"

Knee            9.125"

LO               8.375"

Inseam      35.875"

^ Here are the post soak measurements of the 710 (36x36), which include stretch after wearing them today:

Waist     36.5"

Front Rise  11.75"

Back Rise   16.5"

Thigh      13.5"

Knee       9"

Leg Opening    8.25"

Inseam    34.75"

I like them (simple, clean, nice color, nice texture).  However, as b_F and others have said, the thighs are trim.  So to get the thighs to fit, the waist has to be big.  Overall, they're trimmer through the thighs, knees, and legs than any jeans I own, but the waist is bigger.  Kind of comfortable actually but different than other jeans I like (FC1101, Ooe A02, Warehouse 1105, TCB 50s).

b_F, your PM reminded me to report on the jeans after wearing them a bit.  I like them even more now -- the thighs have stretched perfectly and the denim texture, feel, and color are great.  While the waist is 1" too big, it's not an issue since a belt fixes it and they don't sag down much without a belt since the rise is only moderate.  In addition to the nice color and texture, I sort of like the fact that the 710 looks trim but isn't restrictive in the waist -- a nice counterpoint to other fits (e.g.. Ooe, Warehouse 1105, FC1101).

I realise I haven't posted any pics of the jacket, but it's starting to develop some fading.

IYVxpYQ.jpg

Also, my 711s (not pictured) are travelling along quite nicely. I think my second hot wash made the colour rather light, so fades are not obvious. I got the size 32/32, which in hindsight is a bit too short for winter boots, but they're great for sneakers. I'm thinking about grabbing a size 32/36 for the colder weather! By the way, the back rise stretches a fair amount, so to those looking at online measurements, don't be too worried!

Back rise on all jeans stretches if pressure is applied. And usually, if you wear a belt and bend over, there is pressure.

wow really? fuck i should do that on my 711's back rise is freakin low

haha what's the good ole sufu way?

the opposite of what Hayashi advocates, eg trowing the jeans through washing machine/dryer every other day! look like you wore them for a while before washing, they will end up looking different from the average resolute 710 fade sample, which I like.

so this is post wash. the fabric has really soften up after the wash. it feels really soft and smooth right now. something i'm not really used to coming from 20oz and over for the past 5-6 years. something good for a change, i'll see how this develops

Damn Louis those are nice!

Here are mine, from last October. These are my favourite jeans for now. Have a pair of Warehouse 800s in the wings but these are way too comfortable. Have washed these fairly often, once every 1.5 months or so. The blue is accurate on the back side.

Love the leg twist on these. Can't wait for these to fade out more and get another pair.

Super nice. How long did you go before washing?

I was under the impression that a OW pair would've shrank a bit more so I sized up but they came a little too loose.

They're a size 33 x 28, bought and hemmed at Blue in Green. Up for trade or sale if anyone is interested??

I just got the invoice from Naoki for a size 31 raw. I need to stop spending money

Research for sizing seems to never end..

I didn't realize these were available in "odd" sized lengths like 29", 31" etc so I could've avoided paying and waiting to get them separately hemmed and losing .3" to original LO taper.

At least now I know, right? Geez

I’d like some sizing advice regarding the 710. Naoki from PSA sent some measurements and I find them very strange, especially the back rise and the thigh width. Naoki stated these to be 13.6”/13.8” and 11.8”/12.2” respectively for sizes 36/38 in raw. When I asked him to confirm these, I got no reply. I find these to be ridiculously small, any comments?
