  1. PSA: Boyos beware, Reps are lurking. Many of you probably know about this problem. I inadvertently bought a rep S21-DS on eBay a few years ago when I was just beginning my addiction/collection. Sold it on Grailed and the buyer figured out it was not genuine. I confirmed thanks to some handy advice from @1i1i1ii1 and refunded the fellow. Recently another one appeared on Grailed so I thought people here might want to know about it. Easy to spot features are the size label uses A with a cross bar, whereas genuine articles have a specialized font that does not. Also label corners are much more rounded on rep. There are other differences also but these are the most obvious. Fabrics are very close to real DS so that is hard to tell. Image provided for contrast viewing. Hope this helps people steer clear of those who are trying to sell fake shit.

TLDR: Reps exist, check your sources, check your tags.

L + not rebuilding America + will never make it to the beach + no bridge baby + no DOOMS + no Mads Mikkelsen father figure (literally me btw) + "Hideo Kojima attributes stronger criticism in the US to Americans lacking the 'artistic sensibility' to understand Death Stranding." + not peeing whenever and wherever you want

I have absolutely no idea what any of that means

Lol, you know CH is partly made from synthetic fibres as well, right? CH is as much plastic as DS, really.

CH is about 49% less synthetic fibers than DS, technically

Isn't the age old adage is that fashion is cyclical for 20 years. If were looking at only fit, not style, we had skinny jeans since what 2010s? The Wide Fit train started maybe 5 years ago so it looks like Acronym will be dope again in 2030s with "Profile" fits.

Fashion is definitely cyclical, and it could be argued that ACR is a "fashion brand" in the broadest sense, however E's choices are historically characterized by a brilliant combination of timelessness and innovation. However the last 2 or 3 seasons seem to be layered with a heavy application of hot salsa and queso. To me, the line up seems off center. It is still interesting but I am far less compelled to acquire. Older pieces were holy shit there is nothing else on earth like this, must cop now

I was wearing stotz today and i miss it from the line up.

Stotz is daily wear for me. I can only wear so much plastic. DS is great for short periods but after some time it feels like a ziplock bag.

The farther we get from nature, the less healthy we are. It's just a fact

I absolutely love the concept of the J70-BU and J65-KM looking like design prototypes, but I feel like the J70-BU looks a little too boxy for my taste. But again, huge fan of the exposed seams etc. Really cool!

Agreed. Almost every piece is 4 x oversized / boxed now...XS 61cm chest in J70? Ectomorphic discrimination

    [Except P47]

Was just looking at the newsletter for the P38-SS and was really surprised at the weight of the pants. I can’t seem to recall any other pants being this heavy although I haven’t looked at the weight of the Stotz ones. Just want to get some perspective on how this compares…

From the looks of the photos these pants will be very substantial in feel

Why are Errolson's hands freakishly small in this photo? Or is his head freakishly large? Something is incorrect

any tips for dyeing stotz? or is it just so dense it isnt really doable? have 2015 p10s that are past the point of tasteful patina

    I have the same question

Over time, looking at Acronym and Techwear as a whole, I've been having higher preference over fit's and not costumes. What can bring people into the brand/genre is the certainly the functionality and quality, but the first experience is usually the tech ninja hypebeast look that may have been popularized in 2016ish. Straps, pockets, military. This may or may not be related to the overkill you're thinking of.

I don't mind full ACR fit's when it gets a bit more simple. Do you really need the P23A's when you aren't even utilizing the capacity on those or your J28? Maybe the standard P23 would be sufficient for that use case.

Nowadays I go for different ACR pieces than I normally would have back then. I think that's why the P39-M was so popular even though it's so "pedestrian", although the cheaper pricing may also have played into that. You can also look at the sales of the recent LA6B-DS. There is definitely a time and a place for going full on display, but I like the hidden capability Greyman aesthetic where its more subtle and that can still be achieved with majority ACR.

Another point of consideration is if you're going to be spending a significant amount of money on a single jacket that it may as well be the more outlandish ones because otherwise you would be purchasing cheaper from a different brand, but I digress...

Anyway here's some "normal" fits that are full ACR and aren't overkill imo.

    (didn't wanna go only tapered)

Agreed, there are definite lines between function, art, and cosplay. These lines are clear and must be respected.
