I'm not familiar with that area @gnewix, i've just looked it up, it looks ingredible, do you live there or are you on holiday?

On holiday here mate, it's beautiful. It's my second time in Slovenia, the first was about 8 years ago and had terrible weather the whole time. Highly recommend it for hiking.

Walking around Lake Bohinj and Lake Bled today. Beautiful scenery, the sun came out too which was a bonus!

Travelling for work this week...to Ipswich, England. Nothing glamorous but nice to be on the road again after the past 18 months

A couple of Evo pics of my Edwin ED-80s. Occasionally worn since April around the house and for a few hikes. Bearing some paint marks from a couple of renovation projects. 

1 soak and 1 cold wash so far. I'm a slow fader so nice to see some blue peeking through. 

The previous photos didn't show it very well but the unit interior will be half gold and half oak stained. This pic shows it a bit better.

Been thinking about doing some woodwork recently and decided to take the plunge this weekend. My first effort is building a console table.

Bought some hardwood boards from the local hardware store.

Second step was to cut them to size and stain/paint each piece. Much happier with how the wood looks after some medium oak staining.

Current stage - wood glueing the side and middle pieces to the bottom, with the help of some clamps.

Still to do:

- building a drawer and fitting drawer tracks 

- staining and assembling the drawer 

- attaching some hairpin legs 

- nailing on a thin piece of board for the back & final touch ups

Dropped these Fracap boots off for a Vibram resole this week. 

Roughly 10 years old and they've been with me on hikes across Patagonia, Slovenia, Georgia and Cuba. Still comfortable and durable as ever. 

Will follow up with an update once they're resoled. 

From last week...took my Edwin ED80s for a hike in the Peak District.
