  1. I can’t deal with one back pocket. The measurements are weird, they indicate a pretty slim fit but the pictures don’t look slim at all. For those that worry about the no belt - tcb wrote that they will happily add belt loops for any order as long as you write in the comment of the order.

    the jacket is brilliant  imo.

  2. @chicote the pattern is beautiful. Is the outer seam on the right knee (I assume it’s right, the one with the wave pattern) hand stitched or machine? Very high stitch count if by hand. Looks really good.

  3. Since everyone wants another tcb contest but also wants a different fit, doesn’t it make the most sense to do an all-tcb-models contest? I get it might be harder to judge but different fabrics and cuts competitions have happened quite a lot in the past.

Besides like Tender and Mr Freedom, who else does less traditional cuts?

I’m not sure if I want another repro for my next pair

I think both examples that you gave are mostly traditional cuts, so maybe you mean not strict repro? Maybe try to give an idea of what you are looking for - slim/wide/tapered/high rise etc, so that we can set you in some direction.

  5. @indigoeagle in tcb I wear 33 for exact fit and 34 for slight over size fit. In wrecking crew I’m 32 by Ryo’s recommendation. I don’t have boss of the cat, but I think they are less wide than wrecking crew. They did brown twisted denim in wrecking crew a few years ago. I don’t think it’s coming back though. The inseam was tricky and I didn’t get it as I wanted. It’s different than jeans, I guess the rise is related as you mentioned.

I’ve almost sprung for these in the past. But the zip fly and suspender buttons put me off. Still might, someday.

Yes that’s one of my dislikes as well. Also the rise is medium at best, and I would prefer higher rise. It’s ok if you don’t tuck anything, which kinda works in the summer, but very uncomfortable as I usually tuck shirts in seasons that are not high summer. I do like the flat felled seams, the large back pockets and the overall silhouette though.  Btw I personally removed the suspended buttons. While on other jeans I have them (like tcb 20s) and I easily wear a belt on them, in this pair it was very uncomfortable for some reason.

My ridiculous username should be the giveaway here.

Though, between Tender 132’s and Fullcount 0105’s I’m quite happy these days when I want to scratch that itch. They’re different, but both a little better suited to a middle aged man than some original Droors Stencil jeans.

But I’d still love to see a TCB interpretation of this - it would be nicer because in the 90’s the mass market jeans pretty much sucked by then - you don’t want to directly reproduce that - so to make a 90’s cut with the maybe a good denim and repro details that TCB does. The cut couldn’t be too full though - I never went too far in the 90s and wouldn’t want to now.

The old baggy jeans from Moto are technically a 90s cut. They are also made by tcb (but for Moto). But the influence and details from the 90s are everything I dislike about those jeans haha.

If there is a contest, what kind of time do we anticipate it starting at? One year duration?

I think one year is too short to yield any interesting results. The 18 months that was previously done was nice.

I’m generally in but dependent on the cut.

forgot how great these jeans are and that wild leg twisting

Those are awesome. Is the patch sewed on the cinch strap? Mind taking a close up picture?

Yes, you can find it in many shops.
In this thread, ten years ago or so ;-), somebody wrote about it.

Chore coats or coveralls are really a classic item and have somehow not gotten so much attention it seem to me.

Yes I’m not that familiar with orslows stuff so I wasn’t aware it’s one of their core items. I love chore coats. I have one from tcb I’ve wearing for like 5 years.
