Anyone interested in a BNWT pair of Warehouse 800xx in 34 for £120 + postage (or possibly handed over in person if you're in London) PM me. Just received from Bears but far too big for me.

I've yet to find a TCB pair whose fit and style didn't agree with me (20s, 30s, 40s and 50s all great) but those might be it.

Of course. What surprises me is that there are enough people who are sufficiently informed to know the kind of details that make such a product appeal, but not sufficiently informed to know that they can get it for less than half that price elsewhere.

I know it's been discussed before, but I'm still amazed they can get away with that.

I might be up for a long-haul jacket contest. The details would be more important though, because it would have to be wearable with a variety of jeans too get enough wear out of it.

I'm in if it's a pair I don't already own and the cut is something fairly traditional (i.e. not flares or heavily tapered).

I'm wearing the 30s right now and have been for several months so a 30s contest wouldn't appeal to me. If TCB are suggesting it themselves I would have thought they would have something new in mind.

I'm no organiser but if someone took it on I'd be in.

I had seen that video and it was one of the things that put me off. But from my relatively brief review of his videos, it seems he says most boots are crap? (I'm not interested enough in the technical side of it to watch a lot of that content.)

I'm interested to hear what you think about the Aldens? I've wanted a pair for a while but they've got even more expensive just recently and there seem to be a lot of people who think they've become a rip-off, in terms of materials and construction, as the price has escalated.

Anyone else's opinions appreciated too. Also about Viberg 2030 service boots in Chromexcel, which are actually cheaper than the Aldens these days. (Dunno if anyone thinks these two are similar but they fill the same kind of niche for me. )

This is what I'm referring to. I was steaming some of my wife's clothes and had an a-ha moment. I only did it for maybe 20-30 seconds tops, the patch crisped up and looks awesome now. As far as the denim goes I haven't and won't be using the steamer on it

FW mark-ups in UK are more like 100%.
