Hey guys... I've asked this before, but no one got back to me... And trust me, I've looked around and tried to do the research, but I can't find a simple answer anywhere?

What's the difference between the 1000, the 1001, the 1100, and the 1101? And which is the 60s cut?

For the life of me, I can't wrap my mind around Warehouse lot numbers.

As I understand it, very little difference in terms of cut between 1000 & 1001 – both pretty classic 40s 501 style.

1100 are the 70s cut. 1101 and 1105 are 60s cuts. All of the above will be much more tapered than either the 1000 or 1001.

  2. That's good to know. I used to use From Japan, and it was the same format – putting money into your wallet to bid on items. They used to let you put whatever value you like, but seem to have removed that option these days. You can still mark it as a gift, but with that £35 limit, it doesn't exactly get you very far. I always think it's ludicrous that they factor in shipping costs to the value of the item, as well.

Anyway, Zen it is, next time I'm so inclined...

    Zenmarket is the key ;)

Does Zenmarket let you alter value?

I've had a few Bronson packages, declared at full value, sail right through customs recently... but every single time I order from Japan – whether the package is undervalued, marked as a sample, whatever – I always get stung. In my experience I've actually found Fedex worse than EMS; my suspicion being that that they deliberately hand it over to customs so that they can make the additional handling and transaction fee for fronting you the money.

For comparison's sake, when I was ordering direct from Japan to Toronto, I'd say items got through (declared at full value) about 75% of the time with no additional charges.

  4. @wmb I find they’re pretty consistent with most Japanese sizing. I’m usually a medium in western brands and take a large in Warehouse tees — same as I do for mccoys, buzz, etc. Don’t own any MF so can’t comment there.

  5. That's great news. Re: the jacket, I wonder if we'll see the usual TCB thing of a modified length. I'd be much more into a true repro, but that doesn't seem to be his style when it comes to jackets.
