Now that I’m finished with the project the J&FJ Baker Russian Calf belt with brass buckle. The rest of the Russian calf hide is posted elsewhere …
  2. Yep I know all that stuff … I was just jesting about your choice of tool for Ed’s class 😉

    Belts

Nickel plated brass buckle and Sedgwick bridle
  4. Not sure what Ed’s lecturer would say if he turned up to brazing/soldering class with a tube bender
  5. Sorry - iPhone But a thing to hang some things on. The guy was given a similar thing, but his thing had zamak hardware and it broke. So now he has a thing that won’t break. Anyway all solid brass hardware, and a wee bit of what’s left of that defunct leather I made the braces from.
  6. Oh - I’ve never even heard of that film … had to google it there. It’s a standard piss-take from where I’m from
  7. I taught him everything he knows … not everything I know, just what he knows

Walpier Buttero Rocky leather and a billet welded (modern damascus) stainless steel buckle … which regardless of taste is probably the best made buckle I’ve ever used

Thanks buddy - the owner gave me some rough sketches and it got developed from there. Shows that a belt doesn’t have to conform to rigid guidelines

Sun and moon - definitely one of the most imaginative designs I’ve been tasked with. Wickett & Craig bridle, Japanese brass buckle with chemical treatment, brass and nickel hardware with yellow chalcedony and blue lace agate gemstones

Sterling silver buckle, Buttero leather, black sueded cobra, vintage jewels and nickel plated hardware
  14. I’ve found non-wash FW denim always shrinks to tag size after a good soak in warm~hot water, then a machine wash (or two) … normally I machine wash at 40°C However, sometimes I’ve skipped the soak and put them straight into the washing machine - turned out the same, again after a couple of wash cycles
  15. When we were very little we (as a family) were visiting a friend of my mum. They had a Border Terrier that was a never trained and a bad tempered thing. My sister was about 3 or 4 and came out of the kitchen with a biscuit (for herself) and it ran over to her to get it, she pulled her hand away and it snapped at her and bit her face. Without a word, my dad picked the dog up by the throat, took it out the room and broke its neck. We never went back to that house.
  16. A quick pic of a classic bifold wallet made from two of the most expensive bovine leathers I’ve used - J&FJ Baker Russian Calf and Tanneries Degermann Baranil
  17. So anything really? Maybe you could try some of the english gentlemen’s attire shops like Cordings? https://www.cordings.co.uk/menswear/accessories/scarves
