English bridle leather and Japanese brass for @actuaryboots on IG I worked the leather a fair bit to make it more supple and the edges have been taken right down to 1200 grit - a slow enough task on wallets but soul destroying work on a belt …
  2. It’d be narrow minded if me not to give you some latitude
  3. Fuck sake - one minute you’re complaining there’s no action on the FW thread now you’re saying it’s hyped. You northerners are right fickle.

@freshwater bought these two from my mini sale … … still one left if anyone is interested
  5. For @srudy Horsehide, dobby-loom cotton webbing, solid brass hardware and vintage Japanese coin Comes complete with removable ‘snap-in’ zipped pouch and discrete embroidered message.
  6. Have Viz contacted you yet Neal? They’re looking for a new adventure strip.
  7. The XXL measurements for those tees are bonkers … I have no clue as to why a size would jump 4 inches in the chest when the usual incremental change is about an inch, give or take
  8. I was doing a bit of housekeeping and thought to have a wee belt sale if you need something straightforward to hold your trousers up. I’ve put a random buckle on 3 different straps that I cut or bought for purposes that are now lost in the mists of time. They are not yet finished and I will cut them to desired length, edge and burnish - so you’ll have a good quality belt properly finished. The only customisation is the length. Belt A is a 1 1/4” wide Walpier Buttero Rocky veg tan leather in black - 8-9oz (3.2~3.6mm) weight, struck through. Semi-firm hand. The buckle is solid brass with a light lacquer finish. Belt B is a 1 1/2” wide Metropolitan veg tan leather in dark brown - 10oz (4.0mm) weight, struck through. Medium hand. The buckle is solid brass, polished finish, which will gain a patina. Belt C is a 1 1/2” wide Metropolitan veg tan leather in black - 10oz (4.0mm) weight, struck through. Medium hand. The buckle is solid brass, nickel plated. £65 each, 2 for £110 or all 3 for £145 Post is £5 in the UK, £10 for mainland Europe and £20 for the Rest of the World A + B SOLD!

For Seiichiro … Quite similar to my own - except this has a vintage buckle, is built on J&FJ Baker oak tanned bridle at 1 ½” … and quite a bit shorter
  10. Would you say Amy Roke is better quality/function than KSBlade?
  11. Cheers! I use Crimson Hides irons … they seem to be very clean (especially at smaller sizes). The irons and thread were driven by the Baranil leather - it’s skived down to 0.6mm so it’s a bit clumsy to use threads approaching that dimension
  12. Takes me back - I remember it being (re) opened back in the early 90s
  13. Thank you It’s 8SPI / 3.25mm with 0.4mm thread
  14. Ok, it’s not a belt … Shinki oil tan Cordovan Tanneries Degermann Baranil Waldes vintage zipper Durable dot snap 12x card slots, 3x receipt/notes pockets and a zipper section … and a quick pic to show the guts of it before final assembly

  17. For some of the clothes that are popular here you could visit Whitefeather https://www.whitefeathermfg.com/contact/ The owner, Fardin, used to contribute to some of the forums
  18. It doesn’t make any difference is the fabric is self finished or not if the join is correct, and I’d doubt very much is a flannel pocket is much ‘warmer’ than a twill pocket but I do accept some guys might have sweaty balls

A belt for @andymui97 on IG who chose an array of vintage jewels and overlays as a nod to to the luminous (radium) overlays used on a run of novelty belts in the late 20s~early 30s The leather is J&FJ Baker oak tan bridle, the overlays are pigskin, the jewels are vintage glass and the hardware is brass with an antique finish
  20. Yes … folk in the 20s just couldn’t wait for the 30s to come around and be able to wear practical jeans. Long live progress!

@hollowedlungs on IG wanted a belt to replace his Warehouse belt which he wasn’t entirely satisfied with - and coincidentally the exact same belt that made me decide to do what I’m doing. Anyways a solid brass buckle set on a 32mm width 11oz Wickett & Craig bridle leather strap - edges painted
