  1. Can’t say enough great things about OOE

WAREHOUSE has my heart these days as I’ve been lusting for real vintage Levi’s and nothing in reach at the moment can come close. Nothing to me looks as good as Levi’s arcs and a red tab. Warehouse checks all the boxes so it’s a no brainer for me

  2. I think you’ll end up with the 42

After a hot soak (and dry if you’re cool with that) it’ll shrink up nicely. The #1 thing is the sleeve length... too long is better than too short, and I think the 42 will be close to spot on. If the sleeve length on the 40 looks good on body pre shrink send it back. Pants are more forgiving than jackets

That really is a lovely type 1 , looks to be a pretty small size ? 34-36 ?

I’d have to dig it out of storage and measure it, but 34 iirc. Not sure what happened to the patch but I have a story that will make some of you shed a tear..

My grand parents handed down some very old clothing to me about a decade ago. This jacket and some 501s were the most notable. I asked them to let me know if anything else were to turn up and my grandmother said something along the lines of

“we threw most of it out/donated it. they were stained or had holes in them, and the leather patches cracked in half when we touched them. we washed them before donating them and they looked worse after. you wouldn’t have wanted them”

I bring it up to them here and there to get more clues. All I have found out is the clothes that were tossed out were older than that jacket (as they were their parents), some were jeans, jean jackets, and “formal wear” (church attire)

Sorry for the lengthy reply gents

No harm in sizing up; Ooe was the brand that taught me I could and should wear a size 38 and I haven’t looked back since :laugh2:

Ooe especially I feel. I could size up 2-3 sizes in Ooe and the jeans still look natural
