  1. Had a sweet little package arrive a couple weeks ago.  Love the sweat,  just like @broark this was my first fw mid weight sweat.   It’s got just enough heft but fits so well under my outerwear especially couple of my type 1’s.  The printing is killer too can’t wait for it to crack.

The construction on the Lumber Jack Trousers is incredible.  I love the double layer seat with the pockets sewn in between.  Corduroy is hot right now, seems like every brand dropped corduroy something this season.  These trousers, to me, are the most interesting with a very different fit and a wide wale heavy fabric.

The fabric on the skid row shirt has a ton of character and the buttons… just lovely.

@Cozzie I like the shirt, the longer front felt a little odd at first but the hem curves a bit and doesn't look overly long when worn untucked, at least not on me.
I probably wouldn't wear it untucked with a shorter length jacket, but outside of that no complaints.

Sweet!  Im very happy to hear that.   The fabric and pattern of this shirt was so spot on for me in every other way except that.  If i would just grow up and tuck in my shirt it would b a non issue but I still refuse to do that unless im wearing a suit or its a fancy or proper occasion.

In other news, great fit @shredwin_206! Those 601b are sooooo good!

  4. Just got this in the mail Wednesday.  The leather is incredible, the color is absolutely stunning especially when u see it in the sunlight.  The eco HH has to be one of the stiffest leathers I’ve handled new.   Although a couples days on the bike and it’s starting to take shape.  Here’s a couple pics, I’ll try to get some better ones soon.

  5. Sweet pick up @Broark,  I nabbed a couple tees from mirror ball a couple weeks back. Got the NYS ‘39 one in the white and nys ‘32 in the blue. The print on the blue one is great. It’s that fuzzy kinda finish. They are just awesome fitting tees.  If I hadn’t grabbed a buzz rickson ma-1 off of eBay a couple months ago I would have gotten the field cruiser that’s such a nice jacket.

tried to capture the print texture but I don’t think it shows very well.  I’d post pics of the other one but it’s in the wash currently.

Duke, good god man, have you compiled a searchable catalog of fw? Now I have seen 2, haha. Def a rare bird, generally “alpaca” linings I’ve come across have been some kind of blend.  Is the shell alpaca too or just the pile? Do you know the name of this piece? Thanks duke!

  7. Just received these olive deck trousers that I bought in Grailed.  They r BNWT and I think they are from 2017? @Duke plz correct me on this.  FW jungle cloth is incredible.  The fit is definitely a little different then I’m use to, very roomy top block and thighs and a pretty strong taper below the knee to the hem, but the more I wear them it grows on me.

I’ll try to get some fit pics up soon.

Probably just what FW thought sounded cool TBH - their labels and tags look great, but quite a few don’t really make sense and have spelling mistakes

there labels are sweet, definitely can’t take them at face value, for example,  i know Great Lakes Manufacturing isn’t made in Utica, N.Y.! Haha.  That would b very cool though, I live an hour or so from there.

  9. Had a package from Desolation Row show up a couple days ago.

this thing is a beast, incredibly warm and not as heavy as I thought it was gonna be.  The waxed jungle cloth is unreal, so dense and wind proof.  Cant wait to see how it softens up with wear.  The massive Waldes zips r very tasty.  I was wondering if anyone knew where the UES line was produced?  The tag says manufactured by freewheelers, designed in Japan. Which makes me feel like it’s not made in Japan.

  10. Working on offloading some gear to fund some new clothes, here’s a start with more to come:

$150 USD - Nine Lives Brand “Replicant Western” in indigo linen, size large, worn a handful of times.

$250 Vibergs Service boot Natural Chromepack size 10.5 with box, bags and extra laces. Well worn but lots of life pics to come.

Im toying with parting with my The Real Mccoys Brown Beach wool Raschel from FW19 I think. It’s pretty lightly worn.  If I’m fully committed ill post some pics but if anyone is very interested go ahead and DM me and we can chat about it.

Thats a start there will be more to add in the next few days.

Please don’t hesitate to DM for measurements of anything or additional pics.

  11. “Lost now on the country mile with his Cadillac.” Geez I’m all sorts of lost haha, thx @Duke.  I kno the bootleggers branding is not still around I didn’t realize they r treated as separate companies.  Really appreciate the knowledge. That’s y I hang around here.  That’s a sweeeeet label with “cowboy Neil” there.

  12. 9 hours ago, Duke Mantee said:

Hipsters Reunion is a sub brand. Bootleggers was the old company before Freewheelers. A good number of FW designs have been over from the old days, but it was really when the new company started that the sub branding became a more obvious strategy.

Aahh, I see now. thx for straightening me out duke.  When did the company name switch from bootleggers to freewheelers?
