  1. @maharu post above reminded me that i had some pics I never posted of the sj42cp with a few washes, mostly worn in casual office during 2 winters.  pulling them back out of the closet now for winter #3.  some of the stain from a leather belt rubbed off a fair amount on belt loop areas and there is some visible marbling/crease from wash/dry.  i really like the construction/hardware details on these.  i don't have pics but they have silver selvedge.  lockstitch 1 inch'ish trouser hem type of thing going on.

  2. Hmmm i tried on and purchased the sj42cp in-store.  I was just checking out a denim shop on vacation and thought the chinos were so cool.  I wear them in casual office situations and never thought much about the rise on my size 36.  Sometimes tucked shirt with belt, sometimes not.  I don't think they stretched out a ton.  I got some pretty intense marbling/crease fade on my first wash.  So if you get them and care about that, maybe be a little careful with the wash.  I would also say that my hems are wearing down faster than most pants.  It think because of the slubbiness of the fabric.  I just googled and there is a really thorough review of them here: https://indigoshrimp.wordpress.com/2017/08/26/samurai-jeans-sj42cp-heavy-chino-pants-review/

my s0110xj, about 2 winters of wear.  you can see better on @brownmetallic pair above, but I really like how the curve cut back pocket lining starts to wear parallel to the lazy s arc thing

I've spent a fair amount of time out there.

It's just a mercantile and bakery.  Basically feeds visitors and park employees who are headed to Bowman or Kintla lake.  So stop in if you are headed into those spots.  I did probably my favorite backpacking going from "The loop" off the going-to-the-sun road and hiking out of Kintla.  Some totally spectacular campsites and hiking.  Particularly around the "Hole-in-the-wall" campsite/area.

Some of the employees live right there in polebridge or next to the mercantile...i think the owners live there or something.  I went to the "Polebridge Formal" with some of the park employees at the end of the season.  Drank a lot and camped, good times.

  5. so i've been loving this pair of Imperials with black (greyish weft?) that i think were billed as "low viscosity sulfur dyed".  warm soaked.  worn for two weeks straight now.  not noticing any fading at the hem or belt loops where my jacket/bag rub constantly.  no ruboff on roughout leather boots or white sneakers. i've seen a few pics that suggest they fade eventually, but right now i'm not believing it

  6. @maharu  @JDelage I've been wearing some of the "military trousers" with patch pockets (is that what these are?) in the como fabric.  super soft.  love them.  make a lot of other brands look like garbage honestly. dense stitching, raised belt loops, custom rivets that are painted black and wear in to show the copper, fully lined herringbone pockets.  here are some old pics i took sometime last year.  they've lightened up a bit since then.  you can kinda see the copper ont he pocket rivet.  the insides the paint is just starting to really rub off to show some copper on the edges.

i would put these construction-wise in the category of "nothing is better than these, just different".  they source their fabrics from italy and japan i think.  the more i type the more interesting i think the brand is...american but italian tailoring/sensibility with italian and japanese fabrics.  so mayb ewhere they fall short is that they don't to my knowledge have their own fabrics...and nothing straight repro if that's what you looking for

Figured this was the best place to post since there's no dedicated thread.
Anyone have much experience with Arpenteur? I have one of their Brehat shirts from years ago, but I'm interested in their new collection with CHCM.
Dig this graphic tee but no measurements, might just shoot the shop a message and see if the can provide some.

Edit: The shirt is actually on the Arpenteur webstore with measurements, so never mind. :D

I have the moleskin petanque pants (https://www.endclothing.com/gb/arpenteur-petanque-pant-arp-ptp-nyms.html) and they are awesome.  elastic waistband.  i really like them as a chino-ish alternative.  that shirt graphic is cool, they seem to have neat prints each season

  8. i love my logwood wave calico 483. it's my go-to now particularly for traveling.  temporarily shove my book and headphones and whatever in the giant pockets for the plane, real comfy.

plus a bunch of compliments; three people last week asked to touch it

so thanks for making cool stuff rodeobill
