  1. I've got no qualms with products made in china (under strict regulation ofcourse) as the quality matches (or sometimes, it is superior) their western counterparts....but the shift from - made in Czech / Japan / Germany to china does leave me somewhat perplexed. This is purely from what i've come to know about acrnm and their philosophy over the years.

I'm not surprised and yet, I am.

Either ways, always looking forward to more acrnm in the years to come.

  2. Would you say that the new ny/co versions of the voronoi are more durable than the terratex iterations? Also, how prone are they to fading (and do they fade evenly or will the cotton panels stick out like a sore thumb?)

  3. SISP have brought back the DPM jacquard (Chine pattern) in rip stop this time. From what i've seen so far, the DPM fabric will be used for bombers, fishtail parka (this one will have an interesting way to adjust the tension and drape of the gament in the form of curved zips) and popover anoraks. Honestly loving the way the bombers and the anoraks look and the parka is wicked as well.

Firmament has a few pics up of the bomber and adjustable trousers (remix of last spring's zip detail trousers). These look way better imho.

There's also a textured parka with motiffs of hyper magnified crystals or along those lines (organic looking) that i've yet to see pop up anywhere.

  4. The cargos look good and i've always liked wearing linen during summer. The naslan light split jacket is interesting but i'm curious about their decision on the split collar that buttons at the back of the neck. The decision to have a split-zipped hood is intriguing as well. I've also seen a bottle green version of this jacket and that looked neat as well.

Lenticular jacquard overshirt here - https://www.mrporter.com/en-ch/mens/stone_island_shadow_project/lenticular-jacquard-shell-shirt-jacket/1118854?ppv=2

Nyco-poplin stand collar shirt - https://www.pockets.co.uk/brands/brands-az/stone-island/overhead-long-shirt-with-pouch-pocket-white.html (Description is from an older version tho)

Also came across a naslan light blouson on IG a few days ago via philipbrown menswear. They've yet to upload it online though.

  5. Size L or XL. I would suggest L as these run quite large overall plus you have the added benefit of elastic waist, drawstrings and belt loops. For reference, i'm waist 31-33 and mediums are usually fine (fw 17 cargo & SS 18 variable) although I can safely size down to small on the ss18 variable & fw17 woven trousers. Have yet to try the fw18 cargos but if I felt like purchasing a pair, i'd go for a small or medium depending on the type of fit i'd want.

EDIT: The fw18 variable cargos run slimmer than the ss18 variables.

  6. Great summary, thank you very much! I'm assuming the collar jutting issue occurs when you are using the snap closure / unzipped jacket? Is there a little 'pouch, for lack of a better word, where you can tuck the pointy end of the collar into?

On a side note, are you able to layer comfortably with a hoodie or a crewneck without hindering motion / losing the profile shape of the jacket? Perhaps a shirt, overshirt or t shirt would work best. Finally, do you think sizing up would possibly work or would that distort the definition of the jacket? TIA!

  7. @HeckHouse are you wearing the j69 in the first image?

I've been on the fence regarding the j69 as I've been after a rather minimal gtx shell that has all the bells and whistles under the facade of simplicity (similar to the early sisp designs and philosophy). I really like the jacket and I would have picked it up earlier but the two things holding me back were the raw edge reverse seams and the lack of a detachable hood (which could have been integrated in the form of press stud closure on the black Velcro tapes, as additional tapes ofcourse). I've also been contemplating the possibility of inserting studs on the black logo tapes and using the hood from the acg ss18 jacket when it's pouring but that would only secure the hood as a 2 point latch as opposed to 3.

Could you kindly chime in on how the jacket has been holding up so far?

This was the standout jacket for me this season besides the mid layers (72 and 65) and as cool as the 47 is, I can't get behind the maximalism (Not to mention the weight). The 47R gt is excellent imo.

  8. Might be a moot point of discussion but I was wondering (hoping, rather) if the celebratory anniversary collection would include / extend (into) the forthcoming ss19 collection. I highly doubt it as the lookbook specifically stated that the special branding would be present in this collection only but I hope it gets rounded off to an anniversary year rather than just a single season :)

  9. How does one get hundreds or thousands scammed without them knowing about it (during the scam transaction)? Genuinely curious about this. The transactions don't show up in the monthly debit/credit statements or the authorisation messages don't pop up on ones phone?

  10. The utility blazer in particular if you have handled it in person. One of the standout pieces this season along with the down bomber. I'm really tempted to pick one up but i'm not sure how 'padded' it truly is. SP blazers are usually quite tailored though so i'm sure the extra padding wouldn't necessarily take away from the way it sits and hugs the body.

Has anyone else tried the blazer? TIA
