Yeah, confirming that I'm in for any of the options posted by Ed in the other thread, provided a longer inseam is available. Glad to see this is getting moving!

Pretty much any shoe store? I think I was most recently measured at an REI, but that would've been at least 7 or 8 years ago

Thanks for the tip. Liking this plenty so far.

^ Hell yeah, I think I’ll spend the morning taking it easy jamming out to old Boards of Canada—been too long since I thought about Warp
Thanks for bringing that all to mind

Yeah, the pocket bags on the last couple of releases honestly seem pretty gimmicky, but hey, if it's bringing in sales it's bringing in sales. I don't mind waiting—it's not like I don't have enough jeans stocked up to last me until his next Test Lot anyhow.

Great info as usual, @rodeo bill, thanks for this. On the same topic, do you have sizing info available for the glasses? Lens size / bridge width?

@youngofthesoonest, yeah, markets are still open in Berkeley—can't speak to the rest of the area, as we only show up here and in Sacramento (also still open). They've been really hectic, but have started to get into an okay groove as of this past week. Lines are well-spaced; overall attendance is metered and limited; and the whole shopping process has been flipped around such that no customers come in contact with the food until we've picked it out for them, and such that there's a strong division between those of us who handle cash and those of us who handle produce. Having been to a couple of grocery stores recently, I can honestly say that this felt like a safer and more responsible option.
That said, making it work smoothly has required almost 2x the staff we usually keep, and on top of that you're right to guess that local farms are already hurting: we've seen more CSA orders and in-person sales at the markets than ever, actually, but with a majority of the product generally going to now-shuttered restaurants, business overall seems to be extremely slow. Folks will lose their jobs and their land over this.

On the weekends I work for a local farm selling produce at the markets. Day starts off with a full truck and an empty road. We're one of the bigger farms that comes to this market, which means showing up plenty early to get all set up.
Eventually: a mostly-empty truck and a road full of folks shopping.
Around 20–30 vendors (farms, bakeries, etc.) show up, pickings never slim.
A couple of quick snaps of the world tour jeans in action while I'm here, since these photos are from the same batch as the above lab tour:
At the end of the day, everything un-sold goes back in the truck in a tidy fashion, and occasional treasures are found…

Good to get a glimpse of what everyone's up to. During the weeks, I'm a grad student working on research in atomic physics. I took some photos last year during my leg of the Leroy contest to give a bit of a lab tour:
There's a desk with some computers and a whole mess of cables (it's wild to look back at this now and see how much messier it's gotten since…):There's water; there's power; there're lasers:All the science happens in a vacuum chamber that turns out to be pretty annoying to get signals into and out of……but, when everything goes right, a few thousand rubidium atoms make their way between two very reflective mirrors along with four or five quanta of light and get together to tell us something neat about the world. This would all be much better-suited for the What are your Jeans Doing Today thread, if only I was allowed to be doing any of this these days…13 -
I remember Bill making a great post some time back about the production of the acetate sunglasses, but I'm not having any luck finding it. Anyone happen to have a link (or better forum search skills than me)?

Ah, oh well. I was just getting my info by eye from that Instagram post—in the first photo, it really looks like the two folded pairs of jeans have very different amounts of room in the crotch / hips. I guess that was just a trick of the eye
The jacket's still more than a little tempting…

Glad to see it looks like they'll be doing the new jeans in multiple cuts—the earlier Self Edge post with just the ultra-slim ones was a little worrying
Also didn't realize they'd redone their site!

@julian-wolf Do you have any other FW jackets? They fit TTS in that regard - obviously just a little bit slimmer in the waist than the other denim jackets
No, I don't have any other FW jackets. I wear a 17 in their shirts, but they're worn tucked and generally seem fairly fitted.
I wear a 42 in Toyo jackets and my modern Levi's trucker is an L, but I don't have much else to compare to.

Fuck, you really don’t have a lot going for you, do you bud

I'd also be very interested in a '46, especially if the Warehouse competition didn't end up going through. I generally like most war-time details, and don't currently own any pairs. Would go for a '43, but really do prefer having coin pocket rivets. To my v. unexperienced (as far as reproductions go) eye, the '46 seems like a good middle-ground.
Meanwhile: Anyone have sizing advice for the Hipsters Reunion 666MJ? Wavering between 42 and 44 without much to really go on. Always wanted a Wrangler jacket to match my old Cane's.

Agreed, yours looks like it fits you great. It'll look better with higher-rise jeans, due to the short length, but beyond that you're golden.

^ Had an initial pang of regret over jumping on the original run of mustard once I saw they were going to be releasing more versions, but having now seen all of them I think I agree that the original's still the most versatile of the lot
Meanwhile, still on the fence about whether I might have been happier going a size up to 44…

I think he probably means the PBJ jacket—agreed that it looks way too long. Not much about it that resembles a Type II, really, besides the pleats…the fabric does seem pretty though

Sort of a specific question: How was the sizing on LVC Type III jackets from the Valencia St. factory? How much did they shrink? Not sure whether to expect to be a 42 or a 44. For what it's worth, I have a more recent "Rigid Trucker" from Levi's regular line that fits well in a size L.

Hopefully many more to come as we transition through cherries, stonefruits…
