Gravity pockets are essentially useless for their intended purpose

    Interops is HIGHLY situational IMO

Forcelock is not very practical (if at all) in the day and age of wireless earbuds

You are actually one of the only people here who's opinion I value, so I want to talk about this really quick.

My biggest takeaway when i look at anything new from ACR is, "Why do I need/want this?/ What does this design accomplish that my other jackets/pants/bags can't?/ and Is it timeless?" These are the three most important questions to me when evaluating a new season. First question is easy to beat, any new ACR collection feels fresh and amazing, no argument there. BUT normally nothing gets past the second question...

And also, to expand on why I believe ACR is a "non-functioning functional" is because the end results of the systems/subsystems are only "alternatives" to other brands. Sure I can make my phone shoot out of my sleeve like assassin blades, but couldn't I also just take it out of my normal jacket pocket? Or, sure escape-zip looks super cool...but couldn't i just unzip my normal jacket zipper? If anything you'll have a faster execution using the normal jacket than trying to undo the gravity pocket buttons and not let your phone fly out of your hand, or by just unzipping your jacket versus needing to zip it off in an "alternative" way. And I can literally go through every system for you (forcelock, interops, jacketsling) and share similar opinions, but just ask yourself. Is the function actually something no other jacket can accomplish, and even more, is the experience/process actually fluent or that much faster?

My analogy. When I'm paying "Ferrari" pricing, I need Ferrari performance. Not someone swindling me a Nissan with fake Ferrari emblems.

  2. ALL jackets should come with a 2-way zip...imo. I swear E is the master of non-functioning functional clothing. From my personal experience, most ACR systems/subsystems fall very short from their marketed offerings. I've never really considered myself a die hard ACR fan, only someone who really appreciates intuitive design w/ function. I can think of a couple designers today who are executing "function" far superior to E.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the recent spike in fakes / scams being posted to Grailed?

Seem to all be coming from similar accounts all with very alike names, been receiving offers from the same ones as well, not sure I've ever seen so many posted in such a short period of time.

Just curious to see what others think-

I think the amount of irony that your new sufu account resembles the same as those you are describing on Grailed to be downright hilarious.

3A-2 arrived today. Not exactly a new piece, so I doubt I have much to add, but it’s interesting to me that these bags haven’t been updated at all for current technology in the way that the pants often have been. The pocket within the main pocket of the bag isn’t really big enough for most things—pens, maybe, or keys, but it’s a bit too snug for a phone or wallet.

The strap is also very, very long, but for those lefties out there, the entire bag can be flipped around by taking the strap out and switching it around.

The black x-pac is nice, though honestly I’m all about the olive—both my 3A-1 and 3A-5TS are olive, and it’s aged really well. But I guess olive doesn’t sell as well as black does?

Arrived for me too. I was a little skeptic about the black x-pac as well, but so far so good. I really enjoy the contrast with the buckle hardware and the pure darkness of the black x-pac. I've also always wanted 3a2 in x-pac, the perfect combo imo.

The strap itself feels cheaper than my laminate 3a2, but same length and measurements overall it seems. I've always liked how long this shoulder strap is compared to other 3a models.

I personally love the smaller interior pocket, yes it doesn't hold our giant cellphones, but i think that's what this bag itself is kinda for (or i always personally use the back mesh pocket). The interior pocket which measures 5.5" deep however works excellently for pens, airpods, various cards (card holder if you use one), cash or coins, trinkets and totems, it even stores my glasses perfectly and well protected. And as for the main compartment, I'm always taken back but just how much it can store. I could literally come up with 100 examples of carrying capacity. I just walked to my friend's place with my switch, two extra joycons, aoku 160616 mod (fully loaded), glasses, keys and wallet. Hopefully decent enough example, and no shoulder pain!

Great bag, can't wait to see how this new x-pac ages.

It also comes with a force lock magnet tape.

Where did you find this info? it says it has Acronym Sound but i'm pretty sure that simply referring to the wire escape at the top.

Looking at the product photos, it looks like the J47-GT is getting interops next time around.

    that's J76-GT, i'm pretty sure

  11. Can anyone help me understand the difference between J47 and J47R? I know it’s the Raccagni or “revised” edition, but the only differences I can notice from online photos and descriptions are the logo tapes being parallel on the R edition, much appreciated!

and whoever owns the factory matters 100% more than the country it’s in.

This exactly, and for those of you doubting errolson and his lack of research and attention, shame on you.

Same. They recently updated the description on the site to remove a mention comparing it to the 8TS as well

I noticed that little detail too. 13ts is the most boring 3A I'm hoping we'll ever see. This 3A release in general, not to tear it down again, was just lacking that aggressive ACR look I think we all hold so dearly to our hearts. Even the new 3a-1's i've encountered since spring release this year just look cookie-cutter AF in person, very pupiltravel-esq handfeel imo. Definitely not worth those new price points.

And, if a 13ts-sized bag is what you're looking for, I would HIGHLY recommend Aoku 130402 when it restocks! (not to get off topic)

I wonder if the interesting looking collar is part of the coat or if it is a seperate scarf akin to the sisp modulars or from the first acg season. Looks cool.

I don't believe so, this looks like the Olive Canvas/Volt Glow cw for the coat. Just looks whitish because E's production team are masters at color manipulation lol. The separate scarf you're referring too is the Volt Glow aspect I'm assuming, looks like an unpack-able neck scarf with button closure.
