  1. Over Memorial Day weekend, I called the LVC store in NYC's meatpacking to see if they had a sale going on. The guy said no, but said that one would be starting in "early June." He also said that as the sale continues it's going to drop from 40% to 70%. I'm going to give them another call this weekend and every weekend going forward. Will keep you posted.

  2. So I ended up buying a TCB type 3. I went with 40 raw and after an hour long hot soak it fits pretty great. Here's the nerdy question: Is the jacket going to continue shrinking like, say if I got caught in the rain or something? I feel like one hot soak isn't enough, but I'm scared to throw it in the washing machine for fear that it'll no longer fit in the chest. What do you guys think? Is this really something I should worry about?

  5. WH Ranch Dungarees, slim straight, sugar cane denim, 32x32

For sale are a pair of WH Ranch Dungarees handmade selvedge jeans. These were originally a slim bootcut, but have been taken in to be slim straights. The alternation job was good with regard to silhouette but their stitching is not as straight as the original maker’s. These jeans were handmade in Colorado and are kind of Lee repros with a twist. The denim on these is an amazing sugar cane denim with a blue selvedge ID. Hand nailed rivets throughout, steer branded patch, and many other subtle details. Great pair of pants, but the rise is just too high for me.

    Using BiG method:

    Waist: 16.25”

    Rise: 12.5”

    Thigh: 11.5”

    Inseam: 32.75”

    Hem: 7.75”

    Using BiG method:

    Waist: 17”

    Thigh: 10”

    Rise: 11.75”

    Inseam: 31.5”

  8. Levi’s Big E Type 3 Jacket, Size 42

For sale is a vintage Levi’s type 3 jacket with Big E label. Jacket is in great shape—inner labels are intact and the only place there is any wear is on the inside cuffs, where some of the chain stitching has worn down. The jacket has been washed (who knows when) but still shows almost no fading. It is sized 42, but please refer to measurements for proper fit.

    Shoulders: 18”

    Pit to pit: 21”

    Sleeves: 26.5”

    Length: 24”

  9. Alden x Context x Role Club Roy boots

Bought these direct from Context in late 2014. Worn for a while. Resoled by Brian from Role Club at the beginning of last fall with commando soles. Brian also swapped out the original eyelets for brass. This cost around $200. Since then, have been worn sparingly.

Boots have recently been treated with Obenauf's and put away for summer. I have tried to take photos under different lighting conditions, but the color is hard to describe. It's essentially a matte black with a subtle dark green tint to it. The feel of the leather is especially oily right now, because of the Obenauf's but that will go away.

Shoes come with box, shoe bags, and the original brown waxed laces, which are in fair condition.

Let me know if you have any questions.

  10. Here ya go. Sorry for the crappy iphone pics. But more light really wouldn't help--the Big E is just super blue.

Also, obvs I might be living in denial that I'm just a Wrangler guy. Attached is my original and its backup.

  11. Has anyone had any experience with the TCB Type 3? I'm kinda partial to Type 3 and have a vintage Big E, however the sleeves are like an inch too long. Checked the TCB measurements on Denimio and they seem just right, but through reading all the threads it seems like they're not that popular. My other problem with the Big E is that the sleeves are too wide. It's kinda dumb, but it's not an aesthetic problem--they just don't get any creases in them. I've been wearing it for 6 months and still no creases.

Anyway, let me know if you have experience with the TCB type 3 or if there's any other type 3s you love...

Also, if anyone wants to trade for mine--I'd totally be open to that.
