I got mine in mid-2018! Had to double-check my facts, but yep, the 1947 used/still uses the banner denim.

banner ? looks like a duck digger to me eh?
Yeah, they've used the banner denim on a few of the Duck Digger models. I think the 1922 and 1937 also had it

@Flash Thanks, I posted an update a little while ago but haven't worn them since!
@edmond Here's a link to the 1947 cut. It's a pretty straight cut (maybe slightly narrower thighs than the 1946) in their regular banner denim.

So my Tricker's arrived, but I'm convinced I've been given the incorrect size even though the store is assuring me that I've received the correct size... What a nightmare.
Sorry folks, but no pictures for a while/ever. Urgh

Oh yeah, I do remember it being mentioned that Hayashi-san is always looking to improve the denim that's used. I wasn't aware of any of the details regarding the next iteration, but I'm interested to know more!

How much space do you guys leave between your longest toe and end of the shoe?
Edit: I guess it would depend on the last shape, but I mean for shoes that don't have an overly elongated or tapered toe.

As I believe I may have said before, pretentious ultracrepidarianism does indeed seem to be the internet's order of the day, running in tandem with an overwheening phronemophobia, ideophobia, capitose introjection, persiflage, schadenfreude and (usually) a completely unjustified belief in one's own flexanimousity. The overall effect is utterly floccinaucinihilipilificatiary, as the more of the internet one encounters, the greater is the sense of abject anophelosis - especially in the omphaloskepsisary world of blogging.
I had a stroke reading this

Ask him when the new resolute denim with unbleached (darker) threads is coming
I didn't know this was a thing. Where'd you hear about it?

@mlwdp Yeah, I've heard of them, but I don't know much about the brand or the guy behind it. I believe Michiya Suzuki is behind it and he's some sort of vintage Red Wing collector/historian (?) Here's his personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/michiya186/
Edit: After scrolling to the first post on Ol' Shanks' profile, it seems that @dudewuttheheck is correct and Minoru Matsuura is affiliated with the brand!

Voted. I'm in unless it's too rich for my blood. Unless I missed it, was any price point discussed?
As of now, here's the breakdown for the jeans itself. Shipping will be an extra 40 to USA, 45 to Europe, and 30 to Asia.

Voted—definitely more inclined to participate if it's pushed to later in the year. Also, is a red tab without the red bar tack possible..?

@dudewuttheheck I was waiting for you to post these! Wasn't expecting them to be priced like that considering the meticulous craftsmanship. I like the colour of this leather as well

Scratched that itch and bought some Tricker's I'll hold off from telling y'all the model, but I'll post some pics once I get them hehe (hopefully next week but could be later)!

While we're on the topic of T-shirts, has anyone ever had issues with coverstitched sleeve hems coming undone? I have a number of 3sixteen pocket tees and noticed that the threads haven't been holding up even after a couple of wears and washes. The photos might not illustrate it too well, but it only happens wear they've started/stopped the coverstitch. Once the shops open up again, I might get my regular alterations/tailor guy to go over it a couple of times to secure it...
I think I'm still on the hunt for the best basic T-shirts for me. My Warehouse henley is nice but I do want to try Lady White tees as well!

@Broark I like the lacing of this style! How's the sizing for these?

Yes, I have the Tricker's Bourton shoe with Dainite sole in size 8. They are built on the 4444 last. I think I posted some photos fairly recently.
Ahhh yes, just saw the red ones. How did you size in comparison to other brands you own?

Anyone have Tricker's in the 4444 last?

I like the Paraboot Avignon, but haven't been able to commit to a pair yet. Sizing for them seems to be my main concern since I can't try them on. They also look like they could be on the wide side? Is the general consensus to go a half size down from your Brannock device size?

Hi there what’s the general feeling on the 712s I much prefer the 712 fit I think it’s a brilliant fit but doesn’t get talked about much was just wondering what others think
To be honest, I much prefer wearing jeans that have a button fly and am unfortunately quite stubborn in that regard, which is why I've never considered trying the 712. I don't think I'll be changing my stance anytime soon since there are many button fly options out there in different fabrics and fits. The slight snob in me automatically puts jeans with zips into the "no" pile... Not that I'm particularly proud of that, but maybe others are in the same boat?

I have to say, I didn't get exposed to raw denim in a cool or unique way (i.e. none of my friends were into it and it also wasn't through my travels). I was into sneakers in high school, and I remember that I saw a post somewhere on the internet about what pants people wear with sneakers. Did a lot of reading on various forums but never really bothered contributing until a few years ago. I'm glad I did, though, because here I am!
