I wish I hadn't sold my Redmoon long wallet back in 2013 or so.<snip!> I'm no longer in Japan and just use cards for everything

Yeah, I think that's the issue......Japan is still a 'cash society' and we seldom use plastics unless we purchase something from internet/mail orders or book hotel rooms.

So I still need a coin pocket in my wallet.

  3. Happy '13th' anniversary for my Red Moon Silverman wallet and keybag!
(I have had both swivel hooks replaced, and had the wallet repaired : replaced the snap button & the zip, then re-stitched twice over the 13 years)

Personally, my heyday of premium-quality jeans were over almost ten years ago. Since then I've been wearing my old pairs (i.e. Evisu, Warehouse, Denime etc.) or current Levi's 501s (STF) going back and forth.

I'm still interested in denim products and enjoy seeing people's fashion coordination (I steal their style from time to time :P), but unfortunately I have to think about my financial situation for my future now. It sounds harsh, but that's reality.....:(

Sorry for interrupting, now please carry on talking about Flat Head......

    P.S. フラヘ、確かに高過ぎ。:blink2: あとLVC 501も去年アメ横で値段を見てビックリ!あまりの値段の高さに開いた○○○が塞がらなかったわ〜!

the press release implies that they will keep their core products - don't think TFH jeans will be going away

Sadly I find the market of vintage/repro jeans getting smaller and smaller each year I go back to Japland - they seem to struggle to sell their own products. Well, time will tell.....

    P.S. @ DoitsuJinくん

That makes sense - so basically it sounds like your preference for a wider cut was the minority opinion, so it was disregarded rather quickly.

Don't think any of the winners were superfuture regulars so it makes sense that the final product is leaning towards what the average reddit user prefers. Were the winners mostly reddit regulars?

I love the old japanese woodblock prints of tigers. art is just amazing.

nah I think it would look awesome. Aloha shirts are in full fashion right now. Was out yesterday in London and saw so many aloha shirts being worn

Well, people may accept Hawaiian shirts here but when it comes to Toyo's (aka Buzz Rickson's) souvenir jackets, then it could be more difficult. :P Every time I wear my souvenir jackets and go to my local Waitrose, the security guard gives me kinda suspicious look which makes me feel uncomfortable. ;)

Anyway, I'd like to try Toyo's 100-Tiger shirt someday - perhaps I'll look for some secondhand shops in Tokyo next time I go back there.

Not sure really, but the art is apparently called '100 tigers'.

Some sort of homage to soldiers' custom A2 linings and popularity of aloha shirts. Buzz rickson's sister brand, Sam Surf, made replica aloha shirts of a shirt with this design from the early 1950s.

Yeah.....I remember those "Hyaku Tora (100 Tigers)" Hawaiian shirts.....though it may be a challenging to wear it here in London. :P

Here is the A2 I bought.

Bought in the UK or Japland?.....Either way, it must have cost you an arm and a leg! :) Nice jacket!

Is there an update about the release of this new Lot. 01XX?

And has anyone of you guys been to the Real McCoy's store in Kanazawa? Is it worth a visit? Since it's close to Kenroku-en I might visit the shop, too.
Also, how about the Nagoya store?

Generally speaking....all McCoy's branches are nice. On the other hand, these branches usually have the same stuff in stock so it can be wasting your time unless you're looking for something in particular (and not tax-free shopping :(, but Hinoya did)

@Naoto Ver.2 I have a couple MIJ cons. 70's are still nicer overall but the japanese are closer to the original  chucks shape.

Thanks for your info - very helpful!

I've never tried MIJ cons on before.....they sound & look nice, and I'm sure it's well crafted, but I wonder if it's really worth it every time I go back to Japland. (Moreover, ABC Mart refused to deduct the VAT)

I, however, purchased J.Purcell and One Star which were exclusively available at ABC. They were made in Indonesia but they're really, really good.

They were reduced to begin with and with an additional store wide 20% on top it was like 30-45 $ per pair :D

Cool!.....By the way, I'm going back to Japland early next year (to see my mum) and I'm planning to buy a pair of exclusive Japanese version of Chucks. I'd like to compare 70s with these Jap version.
