Hey. What the difference between old and new iteration of p10-ds from recent drop? Only the cf plastic button?

The last iteration of p10-s has a "new", thinner stotz fabric, olive (if RAF) ankle zippers, cf plastic button instead of metal snap, wider phone pocket.

It’s my understanding from reading on here and talking to fellow members that the DS is more wear resistant, less likely to pill, and slightly ‘heavier’. I’ve not owned the previous iterations so can’t say for sure. I only own the S15-DS which is a thinner version of the old DS as far as I know. The face of the fabric on the new DS feels silkier and less coarse than the DS on the S15 IMO.

  2. I lucked out when I bought my first pair of P10-S offa grailed, (this was back in 2016 before everyone was trying to retire off their used gear). Dude was very patient with my fit questions and asked straight up what kind of build I have to save me any aggravation(Dude was jealous of my calves). Gave me the confidence to buy my first stupidly expensive pair of pants. I really like the different drapes/profiles you get across the spectrum of materials for the P10’s.

  3. 2016 3ts w/Raccagni zip over here. Worn practically daily for close to 3 years and have used it in all kinds of wet weather from downpours to freezing rain and haven’t noticed any leakage going on.

I feel like SISP gets a rep for being techwear more than it really is as well. I've always been more into the street side of fashion and thought Tech was a little too movie-esque Sci-Fi for me, but that SISP offered a medium between street cozy with a more updated techy twist.

But I also feel like in the past year E has moved away from having full hands on SISP and has let the ACR team as a whole handle it. I'm sure he's still part of the design team but it doesn't feel like he's doing as much as he used to -- which might also play into the fact that SISP looks a lot less like ACR than it did pre-2018. Just my thoughts though.

Yeah, I dunno. The last few things that have had his name on them that weren’t mothersite oriented, seemed to be more about color and material more than form and function. I feel like E and crew had been up til about 14/15 getting the Shapes down pat and now there is playing with how to make surface Patterns do more Weird Shit on top of the Shapes. It would be cool to get a better look at their creative process and understand more how the flow works.

The tokito one? Love that jacket.

Yeah me too. Wish I’d been aware of it upon release. Might have to take a break from hunting old ACR and start tracking one of them down. The re-release isn’t nearly as well finished.

  6. Great. Whatever film this is it will guaranteed put more hype on ACR pieces and drive prices up even more. The damn Barbour Skyfall jacket is still fetching high aftermarket prices however many years after release.

He mad. The P24A is quite different to the P3 from over a decade ago and probably the most interesting trouser pattern ACR has made in a while.

I agree. The pattern is deceptively complex and produces an interesting silhouette as a result. The knees to cuff are very interesting. I’m used to my P10’s ‘changing shape’ dependent on what angle they’re viewed from, but the 24A’s are very structurally dynamic and change your lower profile drastically depending on the POV.

    I'd like to see bagjack's 3 point strap on someone's 3a. I'll be picking one up once I get a 3a, myself.

I’ll try to remember to dig mine out of storage and post a pic in the next couple days.

Does anyone have any feedback on the J46fo? Seems to be chilling on the main site and I wanted a long coat for a while.

No feedback, but I wish I had them prestos...

  12. I may have misread that quote multiple times now over the last couple years- which isn’t me saying that I’ve read it a bunch so I know better or whatever, but it seems more to me that it’s a case of damning fast fashion in the higher echelon of fashion. The higher echelon being what ACR is approaching and/or is at this later point.

There’s enough recycling in the brand now that it really should diverge and start producing some of the base patterns en-masse. Do a buy in style production and give a decent amount of lead time on completion.

Meanwhile... maintain the experimental aspect and do seasonal releases of funky newness.

Personally, I’d be down for waiting for both a release of new shit, and occasionally signing up for another guaranteed pair of p10’s, a J1A, etc., and then waiting for the completion/shipment of.

Yeah, that quote is about the Gucci ripoff though. What does that have to do with price hikes and materials?

The proof is in the pudding as they used to say. ACR is falling prey/fomenting precisely what he’s pointing out in that quote.

  14. WTT:

    P24A-S RAF SMALL 9/10 (no spec/bag/tags)

    FOR EITHER/OR:

    P24A-S RAF MEDIUM 8-9/10

    P10-S RAF/BLACK MEDIUM 8-9/10

    J25-SS 8-9/10

    (I don’t care about the spec/bags/tags)

Will sell for 850 all in if no trade interests pop up over the next few days.

    EDIT: SOLD

Seems like they only made 30 of those, rip...

30 fugly ass over-priced folders. Lot more where that came from. The maker has bad business practices too. If you have money to drop and want a proper weirdo style custom folder, that’s actually worth the cash I’d look at Gavko Knives.
