  1. We need fit pics of the p24's dudes!

    P24A-S

    First impressions

Now that i have these, they're my favorite BDU-style cargo. They're most similar to the SI:SP comfort cargo with the loose top block and heavy taper. They forgo the stretch for more articulation. I would say the sizing is consistent with the 50(it) in SISP. The graduated knee articulation is beautiful and maintains a  shape that is absent from other looser pants.

    Features

    Pocketing

The pocketing is interesting. Visually, I love the detached entry cargo pockets and the angle. These will accommodate larger phones and probably anything in daily life. The raid pockets can fit a lot of random stuff—not normal-size Glock magazines though. FYI: a iphone plus will not fit in the raid pockets or phone pockets.

    Fabric and finish

Nothing super big to note. Color is consistent with previous RAF Green fabric.

Finally got my order through too and pretty much echo the views as per above. I'm in love with the P24A fit. For some reason I thought these were gonna come up massive as people were talking about sizing down etc but I just got my usual size and consistent as ever for me. I'll be wearing these all the time and waiting for future material variations (wish I had got the DS badly)

Only additional thing was the J56. I had a feeling I might send this back as I have so many black goretex hardshells now but I really like the look of this without the hood either buttoned up or popped open a bit like a classic M-65. The hood makes it look a bit generic for me.

    Pretty pleased all round.

P24A-S:I go for raf.ETA has a crazy disadvantage that it faded like hell, say it stone wash if you have no idea what it is.(to be continued)

  2. It's amazing how End always manages to choose the wrong size for every piece of Acronym clothing they put on a model. I really can't tell if they're trolling us or not at this point.

Those P24 pics are SO bad.

  3. I would spend 1k on a goretex jacket with more tech/features. But I figured the j50 in particular would be more like...8-850. Which I could more easily justify on something that is essentially a "cool" cotton jacket. Its super unfortunate everything crept up above the $800 mark, even the more basic items. I think that in itself really is the kicker. We are now forced to pay customs on top of higher direct costs. Sucks.

  4. I have been waiting for the j50-s since I first saw it. Now that it's here and I see the price.....I'm having a real tough time talking myself into it. I'm not seeing any real value here. Couldn't I spend a few hundred (2-300) more and just go full baller mode? Seems like a relatively tame jacket for the cost.

  5. @Haackk

I think it may help with what you are trying to accomplish, however from an aesthetic stand point, it *can* make the pack go from dope to dorky with the strap around your waist. It really shines in that it stops the bag from moving side to side or falling off your shoulder if you bend or lean over.

I will say the shoulder pad (for me anyways) really really helps. I carry my normal stuff and my work laptop in there from time to time and I have zero discomfort while doing so.

If you could get a stabilizing strap though, I think that would work perfectly. i didn't ask Bagjack if they had them available however.

  6. @Haackk If you email Bagjack they have the waist straps and shoulder pads for the larger Acronym bags for sale that fit the 3a-1. I just bought some about 2 weeks ago. For the waist strap and shoulder pad (shoulder pad matches laminat version of bag) I think it was $40 shipped to the US.

  7. Are J1a and J1b comparable (general tech winter weather resistant jacket)? I know J1b-s use stoz which isn't as water resistant as Goretex, but if one were looking for a general winter jacket are there any pros to going J1b over J1a other than price, assuming they are comparable?

  8. SS-j2 is hoody, but heavey and warm, all conditions interops jacket.Might be the closest choice according to your description.

Thanks, that is a good place to start. I'm not so worried about being too warm/heavy, more so just not being a shell jacket. Looks like the ss-j2 fits a size small (get a L if I am a M)?

  9. I'm not too familiar with anything pre-2016 from Acronym. What would be the ticket if I am looking for something "hoodie-ish" (something light/thinner, easy to throw on) that is interops?

  10. I saw this happened to someone else. Tried ironing, didn't do anything. Tried fabric glue, didn't do anything. Does anyone have any suggestions? I wasn;t able to score them direct so I can't even return them...
