Anyone have back rise measurements for slim 50s in size 36 or 38? The front rise is pretty low but I could probably live with that.

Don't want to be a spoilsport but I wouldn't rule this kind of exploitation out in any brand, not even those one is fan of. I don't believe many of us is in a position to really KNOW what the circumstances are in any brand. I know we want to believe that everything is fine and dandy with the brand we are fans of but what we believe is one thing, reality might be something different. To say otherwise is self-deception.

I know and that's why it's not going to happen

The obvious solution would be that you could choose not only the waist size but rise also in 0.25"-0.5" increments, something like Resolute is doing with inseam lengths. Not going to happen though...

Volvo, any indication that the arcs design will be decided before the 15th?

Denimio has 3 different 1947 models listed; one 14.25 oz called Standard model, one 12 oz called Standard model type II and one 12 oz called Type 3 slim fit. Go figure.

I have a modified length Sugar Cane type 2 and an IH duck type 3, both fit taller types

Modified length type 2 I picked up at Selfedge last fall, ~90 wears and right after the 3rd wash. Sorry for the shitty picture quality

The arcs design is the issue for me. If it's not resolved before d-day I'm out I'm afraid.

And the arcs, what is the final design like?
The jeans will be delivered raw but after a soak/wash will have the measurements mentioned earlier in this thread, right? Flat ot 360 method?

What happened to the patch? In some pics you can see it, in some it's missing

Visiting him in LA is not that easy/cheap when living in Europe. I might try to reach him through ig even though I think that if he manages to take in orders through email it should not be that difficult to take care of other kind of customer correspondence through the same medium.

I know Dude has been a customer of Brian the Bootmaker but what about others? What kind of experiences do you have? I know he should be legit, but still...
I'm starting to get annoyed as he kept pushing back the eta of my Role Club engineers. I deposited the mandatory 200$ over a year ago and that should have earned a scheduled spot in a run of boots in March. To make matters worse he doesn't answer my emails. Maybe he's busy collecting deposits from a sucker like me...

The taper seems quite extreme, usually p2p and waist differ by just a couple of cm. Nice to see bigger sizes, though

Visiting Berlin next month and asking pointers which shops to visit. Dc4, Burg&Schild and 14oz are pretty obvious but what else? Any good vintage shops? And wouldn't mind advice on good mid-price eateries that a carnivore like myself would enjoy.

Well, you didn't specify what is semi-formal to you, a sport coat, chinos and a nice shirt? Pennies (I'm partial to Alden) work with most combinations but some nice suede car shoes might work, too. These are the two shoe styles I wear with the aforementioned combo depending on the season and if not opting for something a bit more formal like Alden ptbs.

Keep them, it's much easier to store your shoes in their original boxes than in a heap somewhere as I don't have all my shoes in rotation at the same time. I just stack the boxes in my wardrobe

My pair of xx-003 at 6 months after yet another wash. Pic taken outside and has a bit more contrast and saturation but pretty close.

with the reduction of the rise to 'modern' proportions i wonder whether inoue has designed a wee bit of the functionality out of them
...
it is my understanding that suspended trousers are really meant to be worn up and around the navel area to allow a nice drape. so those choosing no buttons are really going in the flow of the rise reduction, particularly for the taller / longer body
...
i feel the cinch is the thing i couldnt do without
You just about summed my sentiments and why I prefer them without the buttons

I don't get it why this peer pressure to force the issue, if someone prefers them without the buttons that should not concern you in any way. Of course you could argue that they are not 20s jeans anymore but I think that is the case already, true 20s jeans would have a higher rise.
Before I'm committing to this (sans the suspender buttons) I'd like to see the back pocket arcs. Not a fan of the cat ear design.

but Mikes spot on, a nice to have but not exactly essential
I'm not in disagreement but of course one could argue that what is really essential? As this is a hobby we may see many things as essential that in fact are not. And I would say that a pair of nice jeans calls for nice socks, boots etc to enhance the combination, that it would be greater than the sum of it's parts.

Just to be sure, is the preorder deadline july 15th (as stated in the first post) or june 15th (volvo, you mentioned that the deadline is during your concert week and I had the impression that you're touring at the moment)?

I'd go with a french chore coat that you can pick up either vintage or from Arpenteur, Vetra etc. If it's good enough for Monty Don, it should be good enough for any gardener

Most of the time we'll be in full tourist mode but one day is reserved for shopping. I guess wifey is mostly interested in Mitte and Charlottenburg and I've been inclined to Scheunenviertel. Any suggestions along these lines (or better ideas) are more than welcome!
