  1. Picked up the current Dyadic Comp pants through a warranty claim deal on another piece. I chose them mostly due to the pictures, and I really like the composite construction and materials on other pieces that I have.

So far I like them, but I’m not totally in love with them.

    Pros:

    - Materials are amazing
    - Super comfortable
    - Love the pocket configuration
    - Great silhouette and overall fit and construction

    Maybes:

    - Worried that the jersey-like fabric could read a little “track pant”
    - Got my usual size for Veilance (and all other pants), but the waist is a little bigger than I expected, and there are no belt loops. The cinch/elastic mechanism works really well, but I have them on the smallest position already and the front still pulls away. However they don’t fall down, so maybe it’s working and will just take some getting used to vs my usual belt. A belt really holds the waist close to the body, where these are always a bit “loose” without actually being loose.

Anyone else have these? I’m worried that I should have maybe got a size smaller than usual, but it’s too late now.

  2. On the p17 the ribbon doesn’t have any sort of friction or stretch. It also isn’t really meant for holding the pants up, you need a belt. If you look at the old marketing pics you can see.

Some of the newer oversized pants have friction locks for the ribbon to actually work as a belt.

  3. Received the J33-E yesterday. Initial try on it felt like I might have bought the wrong size, I'm an L in all my other acr jackets, so got an L in this one. It definitely fits larger than my others (for reference, J56-GT/J47-GT/E-J3/J29-S).

After tightening the sleeves and speedlock a bit and the whole fit got better, and it's fantastic. I noticed that the speedlock is slightly tightened in all the product shots as well. It really stops the jacket from billowing out too much and makes the fit much more streamlined, but still oversized/baggy.

The material is fantastic ... lightweight and nice against the skin, but sturdy enough and feels like it would hold a liner really nicely ... even the J58 for colder months.

The pockets and details are also really really nice. More functional than my J56 in terms of hand access, understated but not invisible.

Trying to get some pics soon.

The closing options and convertible collar make this one almost feel like two Jackets in one.
I like the storm flaps / collar up and top button closed look the most.
I also love the asymmetric details when it is flat / fully closed .
The shorter cut might not be for everyone, I think it looks "different" in a good way.

All of this is consistent with what this jacket is - their version of the classic leather biker jacket. The collar and closure work the same way, the short cut, and the general pocket layout.

  5. I was already craving the J33-E, as E is a favourite of mine and the non-GT jackets are not as common, but budget is limited atm. After all the talk here and some more pics I caved and ordered one. I’ll post pics when it arrives.

It's probably because they went with the waist size that fit the model. It also looks like the cuff of the second layer was pulled up which is also an odd choice.

Keep in mind this is also the shop that ties the draw string together on all the wide pants...

You can tease, but I ordered one of those with my larger order. The added cost when ordering other stuff is negligible. And to be honest, I just like it even if it’s totally rediculous.

Well, replying to myself with an update. I got the shipment today. The modulars I got are the MTS1, MTS2, and MTS4.

The MTS2 is disappointing. It doesn't actually fit any of the pens that I use in a useful way.

The MTS1 is cute, but also not quite what I was expecting. It's actually too big to usefully hold my USB drive, and the button gets in the way.

MTS4 is great and will be in a permanent home on my P23TS-CH.

the 1 and 2 will probably get returned. I really wanted them to be useful as I love the array of small sizes and if my USB drive and pens had actually fit I would be keeping them.

EDIT: Also, I want more CH pants.
