Is the CT fit really "High Rise" as the measurements mention a Front Rise of 11"3/4?

Also, these will cost me $350 to get to India including shipping and customs whereas I can buy any Japanese brand at less than $250 (Japan Blue, Momotaro, Pure Blue Japan). Hence wondering how good are their jeans as they seem to be modern and not repros.

3sixteen does not do repro. I have 2 pairs of their jeans and they're pretty good quality. However, given the extra cost you'd pay to get a pair i'd be sure to ask for precise measurements from whoever you buy them from. My experience with buying jeans is that very rarely are a pair exactly on spec to a manufacturer's fit chart.

Likewise on the workwear, I mean how many ways are there to weave a flannel etc. I'm back to looking for button downs and plaids, perhaps ivy is the way I'm heading also. Spending more time looking at gitman than PBJ's for example.

I want to like Gitman but all of their shirts are sewn really long, as in they're meant for people who tuck.

Just do what a lot perverts do on Instagram: oogle women and comment on their pics with "Sho bewbs bb" :D

I used to follow Aegis Handcraft on IG and she would often show fit pics of jeans she has in her collection. Needless to say, there would always be some lewd comment left by some pervert that says something predictable like, "nice ass." Not only is it tasteless for IG users to say stuff like this but Jess never posted pics to say, "hey, look at my ass." they were always fit pics to show how certain jeans have worked for her and nothing more. must be irritating for her to deal with a-holes like that on a constant basis.

I've been pretty vocal on my distaste for the "curated menswear lifestyle" types who all seem to be the same guy with the same camera rolling up their selvedge skinnies to expose their Chup's and Viberg's; I'm getting super burnt out on the whole scene and am in desperate need of inspiration :/

you're not alone. it's for this very reason that I cancelled my IG account awhile ago. seriously got tired of the rolled cuff, sock/boot thing among others. pretty silly.

Anyone know any Pherrow's stockists that regularly carry XXL?
I like the look of the 17W-POLS1 in green, can't seem to find one in my size anywhere.

Your best option might be to try contacting Pherrows directly, although, I don't know if anyone there can speak English. I can't imagine very many shops, if at all, carrying xxl since there aren't too many people in Japan that wear xxl. But then again, if Pherrows lists xxl on their site then someone has to have it, otherwise they wouldn't advertise it.

Given how poor the IH colorways have been until recently and how IH are yet to produce any colorway or style that has not been produced previously by a competitor, I would rather not hold IH as a standard. Majority of the UES colorways are unique to them.

what has IH done that was produced by someone else? My understanding is that some of their unique offerings are done by a small mill. I can't speak to their more common patterns like ombres or buffalo checks but I haven't seen any of their check flannels done by other companies. Besides, i'm not so much concerned about exclusivity as I am construction details and fit.

I really should've bought a pair of black jeans from Ande before he shut things down. Looked all over and I can't seem to find the right pair of me.

Same here. I regret not getting any denim from him while I had the chance. Now all I ever see on ebay is people trying to sell their filthy, used and abused AW's for a premium. Lol

that is a great colourway! I don't like most of their colourways, but they do come up with a few amazing ones. I have my eye on an orange/blue colourway coming out shortly apparently

A lot of their stuff reminds me of some of IH's stuff, like the 107 and 129. They have a knack for getting those cool vintage looking fabrics that I find appealing. Their flannels are definitely on my radar.

Just received a new UES heavy flannel, I think I am in love! Not as heavy as my iron heart one but still really substantial. Really tempted to order another color immediately.

I know this is an old pic but I dig the way the shoes match the shirt.

  10. @JDelage

Would you mind doing a pit to pit measurement of your size 4 flannel? I'm looking at a couple of their flannel shirts in a size 4 but their p2p measurement comes out at 54cm and 55cm, or 21.2598"/21.6535". I'd need at least a 22" p2p to make it work for me. Is the p2p measurement on your shirt spot on with UES's fit chart?

And to the rest of you guys that own UES's flannel shirts, how would you compare the fit/quality/details to a brand like IH? I know it's comparing apples to oranges but i'm trying to get a sense of the construction details.

  11. Is their size 4 the equivalent to a large? The measurements provided would suggest this is so. Can any of you tell me your height/weight in relation to size?
